If you're tired of gardening in the mud and want somewhere to sit, build a raised bed or two or three.
There are many tutorials out there for how to build a raised garden bed. This bed is made of high quality wood, with strong corners and my favorite part… a bench to sit on.
Join us in this video to learn how to build your own beautiful raised bed planter. We chose to use redwood so that we would have a natural, long lasting bed. This bed cost us about $200 in lumbar plus screws and raised bed soil mix.

Thank you for sharing your work with all of us--lovely project. I work in education and we build redwood garden planters with middle and high school students. Are there any revisions or design modifications you'd make to this design moving forward after using it? Thanks again for sharing--wishing you all well.

One thing to be aware of is that the boards on the top that form a seat have shrunk after being exposed to the weather. There is a 1/8-14” gap on each mitered corner where the boards meet. Next time we would let those boards age in the weather for a couple weeks before cutting to size. Other than that we wouldn’t change anything! They’re working great!
