Build an inventory management app using powerapps and with excel as backend| Powerapps Tutorial
These are the Step by step instructions on how to build a powerapp. No code.
Apps built using Power Apps have a responsive design, and can run seamlessly in browser or on mobile devices (phone or tablet).

Today we will be building a mobile app with PowerApps and with Excel as backend. It is powerapps advanced examples.

Great Presentation!!! I have been looking for something like this. I do want to know if the view can be expanded to show more. For example, I have multiple managers who have multiple staff that I keep an inventory for on one workbook. If one manager wants to sort and view all of staff with what they are using can that be done? As well as generate report for that manager to see overall cost for his team, when warranty expires, how many of each model etc?

Beautiful demo. If any possibility to create a pricing list, for more than 3000 items for different customers, create new item, new customer, from the drop box select the item, show who created, who modify, and who approve it.

If so, you should remove all the text formatting of your input and save it as the number that's entered. Further, the First() function is not delegable, I will replace it with the LookUp() function. I have a test on my side, please modify your formula as below: Patch( 'Tool Crib Inventory', LookUp( 'Tool Crib Inventory', ToolID = BrowseGallery1.Selected.ToolID ), {Qty: Value(Label1.Text)} ); UpdateContext({reset: true}); UpdateContext({reset: false})

That's great, I used a SharePoint list instead of an excel document but on the dashboard form, I can't find all the columns on the list on the 'Labels' drop down button

Yes that's a bug sometimes. I always prefer just putting the Power BI Tiles in the powerapps. I recently uploaded a new video showing that. Hope it Helps!

Wow... Super One.... Way of explaining the details are also very good. Could you please do a video for Human Resource Grievance handling system. The grievance may capture one login and the respective grievances has to go to the assigned officer. The officer details should fetch Microsoft office 365. Some grievance has to notify for a group of people. If you can please create a video.

This works almost perfectly for me. It allows me to get all my inventory in a system. I am now looking for a way to easy add and subtract my inventory qty so that I can management my items once I get a sale. I would love if I can add 1 more options on the home page. One for Adding qty and subtracting qty to a product. I would like it to first search by UPC using the barcode scanner, and then be able to hit the + or - button to add and remove the qty. Is there a way to easily achieve this?

Select the barcode scanner from the Media button. After Barcode Scanner gets added in screen, use the formula on “onScan” property of Barcode Scanner to get the value of Barcode or QR code while scanning code. Then using “Set” method of Barcode Scanner scanned value; set in “scanvalue” variable. Set(scanValue,BarcodeScanner1.Value)

In a SharePoint Online site, create a list named SimpleApp. In a column named Title, create entries for your columns. Sign in to Power Apps. Under Start from data, select SharePoint Hope this helps!

g8. very easy to understand. I have a 60K inventory Item list. But the power app only shows 500 items. How can I incorporate all items and cluster it like medicine, grocery, cosmetics, etc. ? TIA

Yes this is for the mobile app. Power apps also has the desktop view but you have to select that before creating the app

The best way to start is to: 1) create a new blank tablet layout app in Studio (the table layout will fill the desktop screen) 2) connect the app to your data source 3) build up the app and controls in Studio 4) run the app in a desktop browser via the link to the app I hope it helps!

Hi Can you help me? My chart does not auto compute like yours. Mine is like 1. InStorage = 1 2. InStorage = 1 3. Inactive = 1 4. Inactive = 1 5. Missing = 1 6. Missing = 1 Yours, autcomputes , base on my example above, yours is 1. Instorage = 2 2. Inactive = 2 3 Missing = 3. Please help :(

There is a simple and free way to get data from my excel file to your pc. Just open excel app on your phone and there is a feature to take a picture to scan. In that way you can get the data on your excel sheet. However I will try to set up a way on our website for future files to be shared.

Update to anyone else that may encounter this issue... Close the excel spreadsheet and reconnect the data sheet after doing so.

There are many other data connections available as well ranging from common data service, oracle, sql server and many more. You can try any one of them.
