As you have probably already noticed, this is about converting an Iveco Magirus 90-16 into an expedition vehicle or long-distance travel vehicle.
A former vehicle of the Fürth fire brigade with all-wheel drive, 4x4 or AWD (Allwheeldrive) is used as the base vehicle.

At RTI I was able to choose construction machines from around 25 former vehicles.
The plan is to dismantle the fire brigade's attachments and free the chassis of everything that costs useless weight.
The driver's cab or cab must be shortened so that a remote driver's cab is created.
This cabin has the advantage that there is space for equipment behind the driver's seat.
The cabin is shortened and painted in-house.
The paint manufacturer Mipa was recommended to me so that I can use the cab and attachments
I painted 2K primer and 2K PU top coat.
The chassis is to receive an intermediate frame or subframe which can accommodate the Quicklocks from a Zeppelin or Dornier Shelter FM2 of the Bundeswehr. A former Zeppelin FM2 cabin, also known as the Bundeswehr radio case, serves as the superstructure.
This cabin is expanded and receives an air heater or a water heater from Webasto, Eberspächer or Autotherm, which is operated with diesel. Information is available if you follow the links below.

Because electricity is very important today and many devices such as computers, coffee machines, laptops, navigation etc. is also needed outside of civilization, I decided to use solar cells. The solar energy should be shown on the roof of the structure.

The water is supplied via plastic tanks that are in the cab, vertically in the cargo area below the sleeping area in the area of ​​the rear axle.
The wastewater disposal takes place via a separation system which dumps rinse and shower water into a large plastic tank under the body.
The superstructure receives a separate toilet.

A tank for the accumulating urine, like the main waste water tank, is mounted under the superstructure on the side of the ladder frame. The shower will be in the entrance area. This area also serves as a dirt lock.
