I love these pool builds. An idea I haven’t seen would be to put a drainage pipe to allow fresh water through. My idea would be a hollowed out bamboo stick connected to the base that leads to some open place at lower elevation. It could be plugged using custom clay device. A drainage system would definitely be nice.

The stone decorations are a definite plus. If you want clean water, primitive style ... you should put a top off drain up top (outflow to specific area away from pool) and have bamboo runners bringing a constant supply of fresh water (input) --- man your water will be hella clear. Good luck ... I assure you that you'll want to do this ...
