It is so stable yet it's performs basic aerobatics, and I love the Space Shuttle look that it has in flight. I checked out the motor that you used, but I've stopped buying from HobbyKing because their shipping rates sometimes cost more than the product. I hope you become a subscriber if you aren't already. +Mark Lawry Mark, if this was a production kit it would make TONS of money because it flies extremely well. The neat part is the landings which almost resemble a VTOL aircraft coming in. I had the plans made into a .pdf file so the parts could be printed full scale, so if you send me your email address I can send them to you. I then had a printing service to print them out for about $4 bucks. Enjoy!

I can personally tell you that this is one of my favorite models to fly & whenever I fly it at the field guys just stop & watch it. It is a phenomenon to fly either at harrier rate or as a speeding bullet! The model could easily become a production item because that's how good the design is. Here's the link to the plans: www.modelaviation.com/avrovulcan I took the file to a printing company and for a few bucks I had a paper printout to use for cutting out the foam pieces. Packing tape covered the parts & I sealed the edges with 1/2" aluminum tape to avoid moisture getting into the exposed edges. If you live in the USA it can be purchased from Dollar General, Walmart, etc. stores or any arts & craft that sells supplies. The sheets are 20x30 inches in size and 6mm thick (white or black). After 4 yrs. I still have this plane and it is one of my favorites to fly because it flies extremely well and has tons of power to do aerobatics & climb like a rocket. Avron Drake Dude, what is wrong with you? This is a foam model airplane covered in packing tape. There are plenty KZfaq videos that you could view if you want to see the REAL thing. BTW: I served 6 yrs in the USAF and I'm proud of it.

Here are the answers to your questions: 1) Turnigy D2826-10 Brushless Outrunner 1400kv Quadcopter Airplane Motor 2) I don't know the weight of the plane, but weight is not an issue with this model. I use 1300mAh batteries, the plane virtually flies out of your hand on takeoffs, it has TONS of power, and it can perform basic aerobatics. Les trois sociétés que j'ai mentionnées sont les meilleures entreprises et la plupart des modélistes achètent ou écrivent des critiques pour elles. Mais ... Ne vous découragez pas. Continuez avec vos plans et voyez ce qui se passe.

Stephen, I'm using a Motion RC 1300mAh 3S battery and the back end of the battery is located 6" from the nose of the plane. The overall C/G is 14 1/2" from the nose. I'm not certain what motor you're using (it's weight has to be considered), but those measurements should get you really close to a perfect maiden flight. Let me know what you think about the model once you get yours built and flying. Enjoy!
