Building ours now. Customizing the floor to be the exact size to fit our giant dog kennel for our too senior girls. Now we can take them all over the place.

2 questions: 1.) Given the suggested specs of the aluminum, what would be the carrying load capacity of the trailer? and 2.) When mounting the deck to the trailer, can I use eyelet bolts w/locking nuts? That way I can have eyelets for bungees, an elastic net, or rope to secure my load ;)

I noticed you did not put any washers or lock rings on the shaft of the wheels did you already have them on? Do you have to grease that shaft you put on the wheels?

Before you buy this kit, decide how big you want to make your trailer and then go price aluminum square stock. And do not buy it from Home Depot, that stuff is too big by 1/64th of an inch. I did build one and will have a video up soon.

I suspect I'll have to add pop rivets to the sheet metal to support any kind of load that isn't supported by the frame?

the end result here also has the axle crossing above the floor of the trailer---this is a design flaw that you should really address, especially before you sell it to someone...

can you please explain how the axels lock in place I take it they are easy to disconnect for storage?

My local metal supplier only has 1" tubing with 1/8" wall. Is that too thick for the hitch to attach?

to me it looks like you could just flip it so that the whole trailer is flat on the floor instead of the way he has it shown on this video.

It looks like you put the axle cross bar toward the rear as you said, but then when you flipped it over and attached the longest longitudinal piece, you attached it so that the axle was closest to the front...???

what a poor assembly video, where to begin? The video quality is 240p, like from the 1950's, and the audio editing is so poor when he first tries to describe the through-bolts it comes out as "quarter....bolts" and later he says "quarter inch by 1.25 long" which should have been said "one quarter inch diameter, 20 pitch, 1.25 inch length through bolts provided in the DIY kit". Then when he assembles the kit he does not state that he drills ONE hole for the self tapping #14x1inch screws. he does not specifically describe the fact that the length of the aluminum tubes are the EXACT length of the exterior dimensions of the trailer, and then he does not, for a novice, state that the wall thickness of the tubes should be "zero point 625 inches thick". When he assembles the frame, the puts the bottom longitudinal tube on one side, then the top tube on the same side, before putting the bottom long tube on the other side. He should have placed both the bottom tubes right after another, and should have stated how to orient the plastic frame portion so that they face correctly to house the upper portions of the frame. He has clearly pre-drilled some holes while not drilling others, making one think there are pre-drilled holes. A great product ruined by a crummy video. The company should re-do this.
