I am learning how to convert an ordinary bike in to electric bike, very interesting. I have a question, I want to add electric motor to my petrel , in case I lost electric power I can use petrel engine. any advise? my bike 100 cc Yamaha, which motor hub 5000 W or 3000 W BLDC you suggest? (Yes - I’m speaking from my experience and I have converted my bike to electric) Major item: Burrak 1500w hub motor = 34,000/- Controller 60A sine wave = 11,000/- Battery lithium ion (60v 20Ah) = 50,000/- Throttle cheapest one with battery indicator = 1500/- Charger 60v 3A = 1500/- 98,000/- for a kit Old Bike if 70cc = 20,000/- (Who would pay 98,000/- just to convert their old cd70 to electric ? And what could a new business earn as a profit margin ) Other cost would include: Kit Installation labor cost; Frame cleaning and painting if needed Battery box Welding and materials Small business expenses ---- Direct and indirect costs Taxes (if registered business/company) Etc etc All of that just for conversation , if someone wants to start a business like jolta , then that would be another plan and another game, which would be very difficult without joint venture or decent investment. Sir - there are tons of videos on how to convert a bike or build an electric motorcycle from scratch , wiring , troubleshooting, repair videos available. But no one tell you how much to invest, what would be the ROI, and target market affordability and market competition. How to import EV components from China as B2B and which difficulties one can face. I appreciate your efforts regarding EV educational videos and you helped me as well whenever I needed help in my conversation. But small businesses is the backbone of a country and you need to help build such small businesses which will eventually promote ev transition and create healthy competition. Thank you.
