Would love to see a full step by step build from scratch so we can follow along with our own engine at home.

Eh it will never be the same, ur cylinder walls may be different size, u may choose to use a different cam, or different ratio rockers and you will have to measure main caps and main bearings to see what size u need. It’s always going be different.

@@arixp9092 True and I see what your saying. I was thinking something along the lines of putting out a video 2 months in advance that a " follow along " video is coming out and here's the budget build parts list etc.. Alot could be done similar, but yeah , there's some things that won't match up for reasons you listed.

Nissan Catron 3300 lbs El Camino and only sees a track 3 or 4 times a year, mainly street raced. It's been 5.49 @ 125.8 in the 1/8. I feel there's a tenth or 2 on the table somewhere but it does really well on the street.

Pretty good et for sure. I'm right at 1000whp and 3k lbs 1.25 sixty and 5.38et @ 134mph I feel like it's slow mid track and my et should be way better with that 60 and mph. Do you have any pointers in general?

Haha! He's definitely A.D.D.😂 I did get a rough idea of what he was recommending in order to get that kind of horsepower. *H* Beam Rods, Pistons by Wiseco, Crank Shaft by Texas Speed with the 4.00" Stroke, MLS Gaskets, LS7 Lifters, Bosch 210 Injectors, Turbos (Twin?), Machine shop service for the Line Hone and possibly having to add sleeves if there is severe damage, E85 fuel and being able to produce at least 25lbs. of boost. If he gave the list in that order, the video would've been about 2min. long.😏 He could've spent the other 26min. talking about the importance of each product and service.😉

You can put a fordged rotator with a good balance in so many different engines with a good tune and make 1000hp. Hondas are making 1000hp with rod/piston engines, guys are making 1200hp on stock block 8.2 deck stuff, 700hp on stock 360 magnums, 600hp on gm 4.3 engines . All kinds of simple builds making tons of power. Fuel and tuning have come a long way among other things.

What kind of transmission are you running with this I’ve got a VE SSV HOLDEN COMMODORE with the L76 with the DOD delete but I’m also running the 6L80E automatic transmission what would you do with the transmission to keep up with the 1000HP ?

This is what I’ve been thinking of doing over this winter, upgrading my rotating assembly. I have a stock LS3 now, gpi cam, and 150 shot. Already have 1400hp DSS rear, McLeod rxt twin disk, and some other goodies. Basically it’s ready to put 1000+hp down besides the bottom end and the trans. Haven’t set yet on the trans if I want to keep it stick and get a built tr6060 or go th400

I say lifter tick is actually the start of rod knock caused by wear and using too light of engine oil; I say use straight 30 weight oil to prevent rod knock and wear. I know this since works on my 77 Blazer 4-speed spread ratio, you can get in low rpm lugging a little, 30 weight stopped fixed that problem, really! Know it alls can keep talking but forget them princesses!

I spent 5k on a callies dragon slayer crank and I beam rods. Wiseco pistons were about a grand. It's held up great for 5 years and stills runs awesome.

Dont waste your money, build a ford 4v instead.

@@michealortiz3350 I am building a 4v for my brother's cobra and it is costing 4 times the amount to make the same power as my LS. I also have a 1990 fox coupe that I'm going to drop a coyote in it, but the cost is way more than the LS platform. I'm a Ford and Chevy fan but I must admit that it way cheaper and easier to make big HP out of the LS. MY brother is already 20k deep in his build (race block included) and we don't have it running and my coupe, I'm 12k deep and it's still in pieces.
