I always watch your videos. I was born and has been living in this 3rd world country for almost 60 years now. I wish I had access to good carpentry machinery like you do. If you can give me a list of the electric tools you need to make speakers, I will be very happy. More power to you my friend. Happy Father's Day from my family to you 🇵🇭🇵🇭🇵🇭.

Thanks man! I would say the minimum in essential tools will be a saw, like a track saw, or circular saw with straight cut guide, but best is a table saw. Then a router with circle cut guide, a cordless drill and a sander.

Excellent build so far. If I'm allowed to be picky, the cabinet bracings should be spaced unequally to further prevent standing waves. And again, as I've mentioned before, your choice of music in the videos is top notch!
@SoundBlab
@SoundBlab 3 жыл бұрын
Thanks man. Perhaps the braces can be unequally spaced. It could not hurt. However, they have not much meat left on them after the holes drilled into them that I doubt it will make much difference, or cause any issues. Glad you like the music!
@ArcticAudioResearch
@ArcticAudioResearch 3 жыл бұрын
@@SoundBlab yes, there shouldn't be any issues, given how little surface there is on the bracings. It's nitpicking.

A new and interesting build, are you using Kartesian's specs for the cabinet or did you choose the size, Fs....by yourself. Always a pleasure to follow your builds.

I'm really enjoying the content, thank you! Fellow South African here! I'm curious about the denim insulation that you use, but I can't seem to find any suppliers online. Can you point me in the right direction?

Hi, thanks! It is just normal 12mm under carpet felt. You should be able to buy it at a local flooring/carpet shop.

Great video! What is the white ring that you've mounted underneath the tweeter?
@SoundBlab
@SoundBlab Жыл бұрын
I initially made a mistake with the size for the tweeter hole, and then filled it with body filler to re-cut the hole correct size. The white you see is the body filler that remained.
@AlexBrunner

@@SoundBlab great - I thought something like this may be the case, but wondered if the tweeter came with a specific mounting plate. Great build altogether!
