Building a backhoe for my Kubota!
I built this backhoe a few years back before I got the video camera.

How's this working? I was going to build one too but I think some tractors want it bolted to the frame? Any issues going off the 3 point?

Not bad, the 3 point is a little fiddly to get on but no real issues. I have a few mods I want to do like lengthen the outriggers and add some taper to the bucket (dirt sticks in it too much).

What did the materials cost, including the lines, valves, and cylinders?

It was around 1200 bucks. The steel was locally sourced, hoses/fittings came from the Surplus Center, and cylinders/valve came from Bailey Hydraulic. That was about ten years ago so the stuff's probably near double that now.

@@n1ksf I started with a set of "micro hoe" plans from www.loaderplans.com/ and scaled up to fit the tractor

@@johncurtis7431 Thanks for getting back to me. Yeah PF Engineering is not too far from me, Paul's maybe about 45 minutes away. I wasn't sure if there was another source because yours doesn't look like the ones in the gallery on that website. I recently picked up an Economy Power King with an OEM FEL and would like to put a professional quality type of backhoe on it. I do like the style of yours!.. Thanks for your help & the video!

@@n1ksf No problem, glad to help! I think it was Paul who provided advice on lengthening the crown arm and some other odds and ends. I welded additional side plating to add strength to the pivot points, that's probably why mine looks a bit different.
