I built one of these for a customer, initially I wasn’t sure it was worth the money, but after building it, and seeing assembled and how durable it was once it was put together, I loved it, and now I want one for my house. Really like the color, metal roof and the black metal brackets. I feel it’s worth the money if you are going to use it. Go for it. Good luck.

I agree with almost everything you said. The durability isn’t necessarily in question, but the finish is questionable. It’s cedar wood, so it’s really soft, and my customer has had stain flaking off and it looks kinda rough, and it’s only been up for two years!

Great effort to do it alone. I am going to give it a try 👍

My favorite part of your video is when you're pointing with your bandaged hand. That's a real DIYer in action. 😆 Thanks for the video. I'm building one of these this spring. By the way, have you considered building a deck to cover your concrete footers?

That’s a great idea, but it’s a friends house, and I’m not sure if it matters to them. That would be a great way to cover them up tho!

Be sure to watch until at least the 8 minute mark. Around that time, I give some pointers as to how not to make some of the mistakes I made in this assembly. There will be a short follow up video relating to this project as well, so keep your eyes open!

How did you do each roof (metal) panel? Did you do all one side at a time or did you alternate between the 2 sides?

Just a tip, do some voice overs rather than just silent sped up video

I’m still new to the whole video editing side of things. Can you add voiceover on iMovie?

You don’t show the building of it, so this is t a useful video.

In the video, I recommend the “Bilt” app, which does a much better job of explaining step by step how to assemble the pavilion. I merely showed the parts the app doesn’t explain, like how to pour the piers, etc.

I think I did one side then the other. I don’t think I alternated.

I’m inThe same situation doing it solo. Once you got the metal sheets up there how exactly did you reach all the screw holes?
