@@claytonsurber5156 1:52. It's possible that he did use /fill air. However, note that five vanilla milkshakes and 14 torches were removed from his hotbar across the cut in the video up to 1:55. The cave appeared to have only seven torches, though, so I'm not sure where the other seven torches went. It's possible that he mined out the cave, went back to his first base, obtained his other portal that he crafted last episode along with more piping, storage tank blocks, etc., and came back to the cave. Also note that breaking blocks reduces the hunger bar. I don't think he jumped or sprinted much as he may have used his jetpack a lot. He may have consumed the five vanilla milkshakes during all that. And he probably deposited all the blocks he mined in the storage in his first base before resuming the video post-cut. His hunger bar did stay the same across the cut, though. It's possible that his hunger bar being at the same level pre- and post-cut was a coincidence. I wouldn't rule out that possibility. That being said, I still enjoyed the video. Even if he did use /fill air, clearing out that tall and narrow cave at 1:54 was only a small step in the process of building the second base. He did showcase the huge drill machine in drilling out the blocks behind his portal. He may also have used the drill machine again to make the cave deeper before the cut at 15:42, but the volume of the cave under the portal had a smaller height than the volume above the floor on which the portal was built. The drill machine had a fixed height unless Sigils modified it. It's also possible that the dirt blocks made the lower part of the cave shorter in height after drilling. Sigils may have taken many stacks of dirt from his first base and/or dug the dirt. Or it's possible that he used /fill dirt. None of these things are certain across the cuts in the video., but I certainly enjoyed the video nonetheless. No doubt that Sigils is dedicated enough to make elaborate machines that scale his production a lot. Using the /fill command to clear out the cave, especially when most of the work in clearing out the cave will not be in the video, frees up playtime for the more important aspects of the video.

I love that he spent a whole episode making guardian laser turrets and has not used them ONCE. They only made the laser helmet, which he also barely uses. It's sad because that helmet is really powerful!
