First, it’s nice to have a spouse that’s enthusiastic with home theater, which is very rare. Second, love the crystal fireplace table, I’ve never seen that before. The icing on the cake had to be that amazing large flatscreen ! 👍🏻

Love my 85” tv. I use a receiver and physical 5.1 speakers. For the rear, I just got a wireless base and receiver. The back speakers are wired to it. So requires wire cleanup but works very well too.

That is sexy as hell! Just recently my wife and I mounted our MUCH smaller tv than that BEAST but nonetheless the cinematic feel just increases by like 10 fold when its hovering off the wall. It's incredible, probably gonna get a sound bar of some type next. It also cleared up so much room. only problem I wound up running into is some of those cheaper stud finders are lets just say.. poo poo xD. Ended up getting a pretty expensive stud finder that never stuffs up, however it lacks the metal/cable etc detection so it's like pray and hope i dont hit the electricity everytime i find a stud lol

The 85 inch q80a and qn85a are actually really good tvs. If you look anywhere online everyone craps on these TVs for using a ads (ips like) panel which has a trash contrast ratio and gray blacks. But that only applies to the smaller sizes. The 85 inch versions are a lot better because they use VA panels and have Samsung’s viewing angle filter. Only bad thing is no Dolby vision and quality drops dramatically in game mode

Yep! Exactly why we went with the 85 inch model, I don't know why samsung didn't make it more clear in the marketing on the other models, they look so bad compared to this
