Building a Diorama of an Abandoned Mental Hospital Hallway

In this video I show how I build this diorama of a hallway in an abandoned mental hospital. This one is based on a photo I took years ago and I wanted to build it without the graffiti it had in real life. I also use some LED filaments to light up the diorama at the end.

Thanks! I was a little worried it would be boring because of being more simple, but I had a lot of fun with it. I’ve been having a good time working on textures, my next one is similar in that way.

Thanks so much!! I have used a couple different techniques for the peeling paint, but this liquid latex one is definitely the best I’ve found so far. You can try just spongeing different layers of paint on top of each other and get a good look, and I did something in some of my early videos with modeling paste mixed with paint too. But they don’t quite have this same look.

@@AbandonedMiniatures if I painted 2 layers of paint and wanted to peel the top layer, wouldn't it peel both layers ?

Yes, what I mean is to dab on the second layer with a sponge lightly, so it is only applied in specks in different areas so you can see the bottom paint layer still. You could also search here on YT for the salt technique for paint chipping, that might be useful!
