You are the only KZfaqr who not only shows the process of the project, but often will share details (actual NUMBERS!!!!!) on pricing/bidding/estimating. I'm just starting here in NorCal (forestry mulching) and your channel has become a huge reference for me. Thanks brother.

Great job on the driveway, turned out excellent Todd. Only thing I dislike about a culvert job is exactly what you brought up first thing, overhead and underground utilities. Man, you got to remember those wires, I bumped one two weeks ago, just fiber not hot, tied red danger tape to the boom so I'd keep it in mind, think I'm get'in C.R.S.

Todd, I find it interesting how different contractors use different machines to do similar jobs. Some times I think a tractor with a box blade would work best, then I think a track loader with a bucket and a mastication head would be the ticket then the next video a rubber track excavator is what is needed…there are so many options and none of the are the perfect machine for all jobs. Great video. Keep the faith brother. Thanks.
@cameronbell6992 жыл бұрын
@Harlan dixon man honestly a tractor with a box blade for jobs of this size is king for grading far as final product(ridge indenture) and production wise for what little stuff hes doing here, doing slightly bigger stuff youd want a dozer really and when doing practically roads a motor grader is the king of grading, my grandfather was the first asphalt pavin contractor here where I'm from and was in buisness for over 70 years, hard to beat a box blade finish

Hey I love and watch all your videos! Thank you, i learn so much, it's really helping me get started in the industry. One question, i always wonder how those tilt rotator bucket attachments work with a thumb. Does it mess anything up, like if you run the thumb at the wrong angle relative to the bucket? I love those tilt rotators but I am always scared of breaking or bending the thumb or bucket. Does anyone know if this is a logical concern?

Todd… as usual another great video…. One suggestion my friend…. Try to find music that is appealing to you and what would appeal to your audience…. Instead of the randomness that is easily found….. I know it’s tough w copyright infringement but the right music during the right timing in the video makes a world of difference w the mood your trying to capture! Keep it up !

Hey Todd. Hope you're doing well. Your old L9000 has mostly been sitting. I start it up and drive it around every so often, I love that old truck. It starts up fast every time. Life has been crazy, but I have a cdl exam scheduled on the 30th. I have a trailer, and I've just about got all the pieces together to get started. It's hard to explain where the time went, still, I've been busy lol. Suffice to say, I think close to being turned loose. I got all of the paperwork and details done for starting my business. I'll probably give you a call to shoot the bull when I get everything up and running if that's cool. I probably should have bit the bullet and gone to truck driving school. That being said, I've about got things going. I've been making money with my shovel and chainsaws to cover my expenses at least. I'm looking forward to offering services with the truck and the skid steer. Eta: why didn't the tree company just cut that up?

Amazing how not once did you compact ANYTHING on your driveway and when backfilling the drainpipe??? I as a construction guy on civil jobs here in Hawaii. When I install drain pipes and theres gonna be a driveway on top we ATLEAST compact the side of the pipe and even the driveways,once you cut to the subgrade of the driveway before laying down the base course at least compact with a sidewalk roller. 1 good heavy rain I bet that roadway especially by the ditch WONT LAST FOR LONG!!🤔
