In recent years, there has been a growing trend of people downsizing their homes and possessions. This is in part due to the changing economic landscape, but also because more and more people are feeling the need to simplify their lives. One way that people have been doing this is by opting for tiny homes. While the name may imply that these homes are small and cramped, nothing could be further from the truth. In fact, many people who live in tiny homes find that they have more space than ever before - both physical and mental. If you’re curious about this movement, or are considering downsizing yourself, read on for a closer look at tiny homes and why they’re becoming so popular.
What is minimalism?
In recent years, the minimalist movement has taken the world by storm. From fashion to interior design, more and more people are embracing the less-is-more philosophy in their lives. But what exactly is minimalism?
At its core, minimalism is the intentional promotion of the things we most value and the removal of anything that distracts from it. It is a lifestyle that encourages us to live more simply so that we can focus on what’s truly important to us.
For some people, this might mean owning fewer material possessions and decluttering their homes. For others, it might mean simplifying their schedules and commitments, so that they have more time for the things they love. No matter how you choose to embrace minimalism, the goal is always the same: to live a richer, more meaningful life.
The rise of tiny homes
In the past few years, there has been a growing trend of people downsizing their homes and living in so-called "tiny homes." These tiny homes are usually less than 400 square feet, and they're often built on wheels so they can be easily moved.
There are a number of reasons why people are choosing to live in tiny homes. For many, it's a way to simplify their lives and reduce their expenses. Others see it as a way to reduce their environmental footprint. And for some, it's just a fun and interesting way to live.
Whatever the reason, there's no doubt that tiny homes are on the rise. If you're thinking about joining the tiny home movement, here are a few things you should know.
The benefits of living in a tiny house
There are many benefits to living in a tiny house. For one, they are much more affordable than traditional homes. Tiny homes also require less maintenance and are easier to clean. They are also more energy-efficient, which can save you money on your utility bills. Additionally, tiny homes promote a simpler lifestyle that can help reduce your stress levels and increase your overall happiness.

Y'all, this channel doesn't get the attention it deserves. This is hands down the most consumable series of documentaries I've seen (maybe ever). I love that the editing is consistent, same style and layout across the board. I hope the channel gets more attention, it's absolutely brilliant content. This is like photojournalist nat pkg's on steroids.

Thank you for your honesty. " I work all day in a tiny home, I don't want to go home to a tiny home". A 1400 square foot home is a wonderful size for a family.

On point. The thing is, these companies basically make a more expensive fancy RV set on a trailer just like he said.. i have been following it for years, this is such a big difference from the diy container tinyhomes on trailer frames ha. The thing is, most people looking to do tinyhomes are on a budget, but these tinyhome companies popping up price them more than a new rv or small country house, ha.

@@dertythegrower I don't see why you're surprised by the pricing coming from some of these companies. They're working in a niche industry creating a product with the qualities of a stationary home, the mobility of an rv, and custom built for each customer. You're crazy to think something like that _wouldn't_ be expensive.

Right the owner is a interior modeler. very well done. but is the material weightless and does it factor in the safety behind traveling with this home on the road ?

Love them. Amazing job and I assume the stair units are left basic to allow light and airyness but personally I'd want them to be storage units.

So when the plumbing leaks you have to tear out the entire floor?. Also A.C. lines will still have condensation and inclosing them as such will likely cause water and possible mold issues. Spray foam will also release gases in such a small space for years and years. If you want a great design for future litigation, this is probably a great design. I would suggest getting some design consulting from a good engineer/designer/architect and actual builder. Not to mention a product specialist. good luck

These things have one _major_ flaw..... and that's having all of the plumbing/drainage/electrical built into the floor and covered with spray foam. What happens when any of that stuff starts going bad (and everything will eventually)? Instead of crawling underneath or opening a panel you would _literally_ have to rip everything apart to do repairs. I'd rather see some sort of separation where those things run, with access panels installed, and some sort of removable insulation so repairs can be done with more ease and less destruction of the home. Sure, with something removable you'll sacrifice a bit of insulating compared to the foam. But I'd rather take that hit to avoid having to rip open floors/walls as much as possible when it comes time for electrical or plumbing repair.

You'd think they'd have thought of that by now. Ease of living should also include worry free ease of maintenance too. Not to mention the time and labor to repair what's hurried and buried under the foam. Great point sir/ma'am. (Not sure how to address anyone anymore) But hey, this will do: 😎👍 (until that gets cancelled) 😂😂

Did he say the spray foam was applied over the top of the plumbing as well as underneath? I thought it was just on the bottom of the interior, and then the pipes, etc., were installed over that.

Spray foam insulates the plumbing that is rated as pex as in 100 years. Not that it’s been proven.
