Since you mentioned it within the last couple seconds of the video: Yes, you do inspire people to go outside and have an adventure! I watched your videos, when it was still Scout by your side (may he rest in piece with all the firewood he can steal). It inspired me to go outside and it caught on to my girlfriend as well. Unfortunately we can‘t bushcraft as much in Germany but we did our first 170km trekking tour this summer. It took us 12 days (9 days hiking) through Portugal and we loved it. The next trip will take us to the highlands of Scotland and I just wanted to let you know, that you WERE a part of the spark that lit our adventure fire within. Take care!!

Hi Joe! Just wanted to say that I have thoroughly enjoyed the entire series on building the fort!! I amazed at your skills when it comes to bushcraft, really good stuff. I also enjoy watching you with your dog Tripper. I too am a dog lover, I can't wait to get off work so I can go home to play with them outdoors every evening. I had never heard of you before & had just started watching & getting into bushcraft on KZfaq, when I saw your farewell video in honor of Scout. My heart was broken for you & Scout both. I went back through your video library & started watching several of your overnight trips with Scout and I became hooked & a dedicated Joe Robinet fan! I've watched all of your videos with Tripper so far & love them too! I'm hoping to start work on my own fort real soon, of course Joe Robinet style. Can't wait to see how my dogs react to that. Anyway, keep doing what you do Joe, & I'll keep watching!!

Headed to Vancouver Island for season 2 of Alone this was the concept I had in mind for my fort...um, shelter. I wanted a solid structure around my sleeping area and I was going to use my tarp as a wide/tall shell to give me some workspace off the front. I got to my zone and found I had very few poles. All my trees were massive. I had to scrounge around to get the poles needed to frame up the shelter I made.

I love this! We go to the creek at our friends house and it is nice and wooded. We made a tent out of sticks and a tarp. It survived the hurricane, strong winds, strong rains, and even snow! It was nice and comfy! We definitely want to try and get more wood for a fort. We live in the city, so we can't cut down random trees down there. It might hit a house! We are also kids..so...

Canadian Tire? They tried to expand to the US twice, their last attempt was in the 90s. They lost a lot of money

Mission accomplished. Each time I watch one of your videos, I know it's time to get out and spend some time in the woods. Keep it up, brother.
