Building a Honda Civic Type R EK9 by Fujimi [FULL BUILD] Step by Step

The Honda Civic EK9 is one of the hotest hatches of it's time. The Type R was the best of the best when it comes to this model of Civic. Fujimi offers a great Type R package with Recaro buckets, Specific rims and tires, a Type R rear spolier and badging to support this model. Not a complicated build but does come together in a nice little package.

FUJIMI makes some of the best kits in my opinion! Especially when the kit has a Complete Drivetrain (engine/transmission).

I have alwyays felt the body was the hardest part about building a model car. Not so many pieces but so much complicated painting and masking. Worth it if you take your time and do it carefully. The work will be worth the reward once it is complete.

What type of tape did you use to mask the body off

I have a roll of basic painters tape that I use for masking the body.

Very nice build,wich number used you for sanding the body.

For sanding before paint I use a Tamiya 600 sponge and then after paint I use a Tamiya 3000 sponge, then some basic 5000 and 7000 grit. Then I use the Tamiya Coarse, Fine and Finish polishes. It is a pretty big job and I don't always film all of it. It is pretty boring but essential to a clean finish.

@@Snarf_spike. awesome. Well good luck to you. There are some tutorials online about sanding clear coats that you may want to check out as well. Just be cautious to not sand through the clear coat and into the paint.
