We are building an addition foundation for a house and we are using Fox Blocks. We had to do all the dirt work and pour all the concrete. It's a long video but I have added some good tips for working with ICF blocks. We have used Nudura blocks for so many projects and we are giving Fox Blocks a chance this year so we can compare the Fox Vs Nudura in the future.

A idea, in your situation I would strip the topsoil, put some rock down and load right into the truck, no need to move dirt twice, also that construction entrance will help the whole job, and easily cleaned up, great job guys

@bondobuilt386 I know that's why I start almost every job by making a construction entrance, dig out the topsoil, and put 2 inch rock. It pays for itself , or you can chargecoustemer a small fee, as it will keep the job moving... just how I do it and 25 years zero complaints

Guys.... love the videos... please put p-traps on your trench drains.... Exit the bottom of the lowest part of the drain vertical down into trap... then horizontal to whatever system you want.... this will prevent the cold air if it goes to daylight, and keeps humidity from perimeter drains from entering dwelling... kkplumbing Wisconsin..

Nice looking job Ron. You guys do great work. I wondered if you might save some money with a small line pump truck rig. I just poured my whole house and garage (Fox Blocks) about a month ago and did it with a line pump truck. Cost me 600 bucks vs. at least triple for a boom pump truck. I doubled up on the H-V Clips on every row. I figured it was cheap insurance pouring 9' walls. I made my own bracing system with 2x4 strongbacks against the walls and turnbuckles and tapcons into the floor. I Didn't have a single issue with blowouts or movement of the blocks.

Those foam walls have really come a long way, when they first came out, I was not impressed, but these you are using look very solid. Have you witnessed the 3D printed concrete walls yet? They have a ways to go, just like these did in the beginning, not sure how they will overcome the vertical weight problem, but I’m sure someone will figure something out. You need to talk the concrete company into getting a front with a conveyor mounted on it, then you won’t need the Brentwoods nearly as much, have never seen any in service in CNY. That way the driver is 75% of the crew for you if he’s good. 👍😉😁

Loving the content mate. To really level up, I would suggest upgrading the quality from 480p to 1080 or even better 4k. Doesn't need to be imax quality haha but I bet it would make a big difference in view count. I still watch the vids regardless. Just suggesting it would be a good investment. Keep up the good work. From Australia.

Why is there not any waterproofing membrane, or tar on the outside of the wall below grade? how did that pass local codes? What is going to keep the concrete (hydroscopic) from always being wet? That is going to be a mold factory inside the structure. Still, turned out pretty nice though!

Suggest building your self a chute like off a Crete truck and hook it to the coal door on your truck gives you more range and control, and being able to get the rock in place faster than with a wheel barrow like on this one. More than one chuet for range of operatin. They use to have them on coal trucks years ago. To get the coal maybe to a hard place behind a house or no real drive way to coal storage place at homes etc.

id like to do a similar pour of slab on grade slab before the ICF walls are poured; difference I am considering is: pouring footings, setting 1-1/2 row of ICF, backfilling both sides with clear stone, and pouring slab on grade floor with infloor heat; do you think the walls if backfilled carefully on each side will be rigid enough to stay straight. House will not have a crawlspace or basement and only needs 30" of frost embedment. Would like to do it this way to avoid the cold joint between inside ICF and floor to allow for concrete floors
