It's a very satisfying island but you really could have worked on the aesthetic, such as using the quay walls to smooth out the edges and even creating small shore parks. Also hotels. Perhaps you could do another episode where you perfect it.

You should totally do a city that is only large density residential housing. Have everything clustered together as small as possible. Design it like an hour Glass with mainly underground roads. I'd love to see that. I would love to be able to get the game myself, but watching you let's me enjoy it.

You actually don't need a highway connection for residents to move in, so those ferries you connected to the highway aren't necessary. Residential zones just get citizens, even without a highway connection, and so long as you have a cargo harbor your industrial will be able to get the raw goods it needs too. I learned this while trying to beat the Alpine Villages scenario.

This is a really awesome idea! I've only ever made one island city, and I made that one into the shape of a lobster. It survived well enough until I decided to decimate it with tsunamis and meteors...

Whats the map?

It does actually matter which of the two curvy arcade things you put down, since they both count as distinct park buildings from each other (despite looking very similar from above), and park entertainment gets diminishing returns from repeat buildings. So if you have five different buildings that give 50 entertainment each, for instance, you might match or even exceed five of the same one that gives 100 each. It really does drop off sharply. Variety's key.

You might want to build a subway connection between the island and the train station. And add some industry on the mainland.

to fix the problem with people not moving in fast enough on island cities build a few houses and shops at the ferry stop before entrance it also works well with the parking lot parks
