The production value of this video seemed much higher than normal: lots of creative, fun, interesting shots with mixtures of slo-mo, time lapse, etc.... very well done, keep heading in the same direction! Love what your doing with your chanel, brilliant subscriber engagemnet, your getting 20% of your audience to go and answer and survey, scale that up and you're onto a winner here!

If you have to peel more cedar logs, and I imagine you will, I would suggest making some log stands to make the work easier on your back. You can just cut a V into the tops of some larger rounds. Make them just high enough so you can easily straddle the cedar log to hold it down while you work. It's still not easy to peel logs like this, but at least you wont be working on the ground. I peeled about 50 logs when building a small house, and I found that getting the work off of the ground made a huge difference in how sore I was at the end of the day. Hope this helps, your trail is looking awesome!

A better way to level the poles is using a transparent hose filled with water. The water will show you the same Level at both ends and it’s super accurate. Construction tip from Chile 🇨🇱

I think he should do the snake berms because it will make the trail more flowy and diverse and it shouldn't be just a bunch if features and the berms would help. The step up should be later on in the trail when you get your speed back up.

I voted for the step up. Seems legit to have a proper trickable jump at the end of the line where you can learn no handers and such. The giant berms seems like a fun way to start of the next trail setting the tone and get you mentally ready for a mid-air wallride longer down the path🤙

When you did the cross bracing to the posts, you forgot to put a block attaching the two cross boards, that is the whole point of cross bracing. Make sure you do it! It will make your whole deck strong and supported love the trail bro
@rickt151
@rickt151 3 жыл бұрын
Would that make a noticeable difference? I mean, with one cross brace it can't rock one way, but can fold down the other. With 2 braces it can't rock either way, nor fold down? Or do they help against the other axis forces (not side to side, but lengthwise forces if that made sense)?
@isaacwardle7839
@isaacwardle7839 3 жыл бұрын
I’m sure it’s not a huge difference but structure wise it would be stronger, I’ve just know there’s supposed to be something there, two boards hanging by nails can only be so strong haha

You've (excuse the pun) "stepped up" the quality here. Love the graphic at the start (more graphics would be great - describe what you're doing during the process etc). Don't make excuses for not finishing the project - having something "left over" just brings viewers back. Maybe set the project but have an extra "bonus" at the end which you don't finish until the next episode... Just getting back into MTB at 40 with a bunch of health issues, and may never hit this sort of stuff, but sure do love watching you build it. Just wondered if there's a value in possibly burning the posts (or at least the bases) to stop rot setting in. Would also make for good viewing interest. I actually vote for the berms. You did such an awesome job fixing the last big one I'd love to see you work on that - makes sense too since you have the sprayer etc now. Keep up the great work guys! Cheers, from Melbourne Aus.

Both ideas are good. I think a large berm to help carry speed into the step up dirt jump would be ideal. However, if that pile of brush is full of roots the snake would be fun as well. One note would be to add 2 rollers; one at the end of the first berm and one at the beginning of the second berm, this could be used as a low consequence hip transfer by more experienced riders and also double as a more technical berm/roller series for novice riders. Great quality vid tho!
