Operating on the hypothesis (my wife thinks it's a good one) that publicizing this build might impel the project to completion. We'll see.... Music: Morning Mandolin by Chris Haugen

I built a Pooduck and often stopped working for 9 months at a time. What worked for me was to just work on it 20 minutes each day. Often the 20 minutes would turn into an hour. Sometimes I would just look at it for 20 minutes and just admire the lines. It is a nice looking boat design.

Sounds like a good strategy, Ron! I’ve a pretty poor completion record for projects of this kind. 😂

Thanks Tom! Hope to get busy on it in the next few days. Still owe you a kielbasa installment and it should be the next thing you see on this channel. Thanks again!

There's only so much that one can do with kielbasa. It will be interesting to see what you come up with.@@boomerantics9586

@@tomcrump6675 It will be absolute simplicity. So much so that even I can do it! ;-D

I’m on the verge of starting a Pooduck Skiff build. Did you find that the plans and measurements for laying out the molds and the planking were reasonably accurate? I seem to recall one or more posts on the WB forum about an error or two in the plans, but it might have been the plans for the Shellback Dinghy. Thanks for posting the video of your build - very inspiring.

Hello, Andrew, and thank you! I got the bright idea to start making detailed construction notes about a month after I started the build but I don’t recall any errors in the plans and my catch up notes don’t mention any issues either. I wish I could report more but I have made little progress since moving the project back to the garage. All the best in your build!

Wow very interesting your talented and patient. I don't know where you find all the time for all your interests.

Thank you, John! I’m not sure I’ve ever been described as talented OR patient ;-D. Oddly enough, I often feel I’m wasting time on my interests. Thanks again and have a dandy day!

Nice! I watched because I’m interested in building the same boat but now I’m wondering what you plan on doing with that Rubicon..
@boomerantics95864 жыл бұрын
Thank you, Kevin! I’m sorry to say I’ve made very little progress on the skiff and with the snowpack diminishing in the high country, that Rubicon will become yet another distraction. Thanks again and be well!

Any updates to this project? Thanks!

I’m afraid not, Ethan. As usual, I had the best of intentions but an intervening home improvement & repair project redirected my motivation and I simply haven’t been touched by that Muse since. Thanks and have a dandy day!
