Interesting, I recommend to use 1/2, 1/4 inch hardware cloth only to save cost of quail run.

I can totally understand the "Too Togetherness"!!! Its still, after 3 yrs, the hardest thing to get used to after retirement! I'm a independent person, I like alone time, maybe to much! But I'm workin on it! Nice birdhouse! I don't think I've ever seen quail like that. Only wild ones! Very pretty!

I LOVE co ops, they are awesome. I used to live in Erie Pennsylvania, many many years ago, and they had a small farm type co op, that was awesome. Miss not having one around where we live now, in Upper Northeast Illinois, with all the farms around the area.. I Love your Farm. The Aggressive one you might have to get rid of cause him or her will kill the other at some point, then again with all that room, never know, but I would keep a close watch on it, just to be safe. God bless you both..

Awesome. Great build! I have only two that survived a faulty incubator, but I love them and will be getting more. This is the perfect setup to give them space and be able to enjoy them. Really appreciate your attention to detail and with any luck, we can make one of our own.

Hardware cloth for the bottom two feet is ideal, with chicken wire above that, in my opinion. Keep in mind that rats will kill quail. Anything with bigger holes than chicken wire and your risking raccoons grabbing them, rats and snakes getting in, or even the quail escaping if they’re young/small enough.
