I have noticed that modelmaking requires deep pockets sometimes, or lots of merch sitting around to store use. just the investment in paint is killing me. Bought $600 in the last year and a half in paint and supplies for paint. Kits another $300, glue, tape styrene and other crap cost me another $200 this crap adds up when you have to buy it. I still need a rivet cutter and scribe and an organizer. I was wounded in Afghanistan and use it as therapy but have yet to find a mil discount for anything model related. I couldnt even get my local shop to help me out with info on how to do things much less get anyone to help donate stuff. I have been holding model building clinics at my house with a non-profit and I had to buy everything almost at retail, it gets bad when you buy a kit for each vet and you go through a lot of paint with 5 guys/girls building. I did buy a few airbrushes and had an artist come in to show guys how to use it. I have been getting guys at the VA hospital to come over while doing rehab so its worth it.

Absolutely fantastic video - really appreciate the detail you put into this tutorial. I've recently started getting back into wargaming miniatures and my young daughter and I are building trees and terrain for SW:Legion and Bolt Action; I have only ever painted WH40K miniatures - never created terrain before so tutorials, like yours, are incredibly helpful. Looking forward to seeing more.

Thats around 6400 pounds per side...Gross weght for combat tracks. 13 000 pounds or close to 6 metric tonnes...thats insane. Never did the math...lmao no wonder it was fuel inefficent.

Nice work on the diorama with plenty of technique and interest. Sorry to hear about the railway diorama, but I can completely understand a) how big it would have been and b) how it would have filled your store! ;-) You did inspire me when you were building the individual kits though - I may try to build something like it but in 1/76, HO, 00 scale, depending on what's available. Cheers.
