Attempt 2 at building a startup and going to the mooooooooon! 😂
No, but in all seriousness, the last time a friend and I tried to build a startup, it failed horribly. But it was a good experience and now I feel like I have an idea that could work. It's called Jotter and I'll go more in-depth in this video, but it's a better version of a journaling app.
(Unlike last time, I'm not gonna collect anybody's emails until I'm certain I can follow through with this :) - so that's why there's no email link lol)

AWESOME vid man!!! The quality of the video is just so good that if you would not have told me that you, a teenager, had made it, I would've actually thought that a big main channel with lots of subscribers had made the video! This just shows how talented you videos are man! I have one question though, I would like to know where you got most of your video editing skills, knowledge about how to even do ANYTHING financially(I have no idea about finances besides having a debit card), and where you learned to code because I also earnestly want to do something as big as make a startup as a teenager like you, and to give me skills that I could potentially monetize in the future by getting me a better job or something of that sort. I come across all sorts of yt videos telling me I should do this, I should do that to create money or make a project but I just have no idea in reality of how to do any of that stuff and would love to learn how. I would appreciate any sort of answer, thank you if you read this lengthy question!

Thank you so much! I learned how to edit videos from another KZfaq channel I would edit for a few years ago and I just transitioned to my own content. I learned how to code by just watching a ton of KZfaq videos from creators like Fireship, SuperSimpleDev, WebDevSimplified, etc and by using websites like W3schools and CodeCademy. As far as the financial part, I just like numbers and finance so I watch people like Ali Abdaal and Graham Stephen.

Hey man, this is very inspiring to watch and a great start! I think you would benefit greatly from reading books such as the Lean Startup by Eric Ries and Lean Analytics, and the Mom Test!

@@VeenitXSheth Basically the question to ask is if people need what you are selling, not if you can make it. Theres great content on how you can test this with MVPs (as little code as possible ahah) and validate the need for your product! I wish you the best for your journey!

Use free tools like W3schools, freecodecamp.org, fireship, and codecademy; I never paid anyone to learn how to code

Hey, I had basically a very similar idea in mind, I happened to call it Nodes. I was thinking how these could be memory nodes for individuals. I was thinking about a feature where you could decide if you wanted a particular journal entry to be public, and how if someone came in around a particular radius, would be able to view it. But to maintain anonymity and privacy, there would not be a way to contact people who post public journals.

I don't think the idea is different enough from other journal apps that it is it's own thing. Even if it does pick up, other established apps can just copy it and you're in the shitter.
