@@michaelm8188 tbh I've never used cases. My mother bought me a survivor case for my iPod and it was awful and bulky. Honestly I had this blue ipod 5th generation, and I've dropped it flat on tile floors in my old highschool many times (without a case). It still works but the battery is garbage because it was one of the recalled ipods and the store we bought it from said we couldn't return it even though it was recalled. I'm much more careful now, but I have a gold iPod 6 that has been dropped about 5 times and it still works totally fine, there's just a little dent in the top right corner from when it was dropped on the sidewalk (I am now much more careful outside lmao). cases are lame and bulky. [edit, I mean iPod touch, not iPod]

I’m watching this on my IPad Pro 12.9 inch 2018 model that cost me $1500. I also own a gold iPhone 11 Pro Max that cost me $1500. I am a very fortunate person, making over $500k a year as a surgeon and I encourage you guys to keep trying in life as well. :)

I bought an iFixit tool kit, the same one you have and damn I'm impressed... I've always struggled to get different types of screws out and also stripped screws. Now, taking apart laptops and phones is SO easy!

Does anyone know what screen protector brand does he use? I am trying to keep oils and debree from getting in the fabric covering the earspeaker by offsetting it a little so I don't have to clean everyones iP7 every other month. :D

ah nice.... i used to do this to my iphone 3gs 4 4s 5 5s 6s and finally the iphone 7 and 7P for relatives. some times platinum sometimes gold with the fake diamonds and maybe a LV or Versace engraving. this takes a long time to do so people could not pay me what it was worth to do. lets just say it's super special. i remember being at the bar and setting it down. later i would have the bartender asking me for my phone to show other people everytime i came by.... he would say "hey let me see the gold bar". nice tutorial.

Hi Hugh, I really like your videos. May I give you some advise for your future modification? next time you should use loctite for the screws, otherwise the screws will loosen up in time which will result in loose inner parts.

I have a question Hugh I had 2 same smart phones cheap chines ones, one faced accident and got display damaged but the motherboard is full ok, i tested it by replacing the motherboard on the good phone, so now if i leave that good motherboard will it work after years.
