Building a True Dream Car - 1986 BMW E30 327i Baur
We're happy to introduce you with Tony Forbes-Marsden, again. Beginning of this year Tony told us about his lovely BMW 2002, but now here's the story or this amazing looking BMW E30 Baur. Over many years Tony has turned this Baur from a standard one to a show stopping and award winning Baur that everyone loves. Not only he has upgraded the engine to 2.7 but he also installed individual throttle bodies to it. There isn't a bolt that Tony hasn't turned on this build and the end result speaks for itself. With a matching wooden Alpina steering wheel and gear knob and custom wheels this bagged BMW is hard to miss in any show that it goes to.

@@thabangaugustinehlaleleBaur were the company that made the earlier convertible E30 3 series and other convertible BMW’s too I believe. They were a coach builder

@@tonyforbes-marsden9939 I didn’t think it would be out for long your OCD kicking in love it. I hear you on that ride quality I must say I have stock bbs 15 inch alloys on my e30 and it crashes and bangs in and on every pothole shaking the car to bits, your set up must be a real boneshaker no? It’s strange I also have a stock 1990 baby benz 190 and that just glides and wafts along on air it seems and you don’t even notice potholes so it makes for a far superior ride and I guess I’m getting old fart status too that said you can’t fling it around a track so I guess that’s the intersection of compromise. Mind you Mercedes’ smashed it on this suspension design with the multi link set up so respect to them too.

A work of art, for sure! 👌However, the wheels seem too large, very disproportionate to the body.🤪 Also, no intake air filter will quickly damage that beautiful engine!👀‼️

Love the video! I also have an E30 TC Baur 1984, but the entire roof needs replacing. You don’t happen to know anyone that is selling replicas at all? Thank you :)
