I'm in the process of building a vertical log splitter too. I'm just about done with it. I just painted it over the weekend. That motor would be a sweet setup if you can get it to run properly. I also used a 28gpm pump, a 4" cylinder, and 3/4" hoses. I modified the cylinder ports to 3/4" and drilled out the holes in the cylinder ports to nearly 3/4". I managed to get my log lift to operate to the full upright position kinda like the wolf ridge lift. That was probably the most challenging part of the build. I too had some space restrictions between the frame and the table top, which limited how long I could make the linkage. The linkage attaches about 10" down from the hinge point. My table top design was very similar to yours with a tube frame and 1/4" steel for the top. The portion directly beneath the splitting wedge is beefed up majorly though. I actually used a log splitter beam from a Northern 37 ton log splitter which already had the beefy 2" thick plate welded to it. So that stayed and I welded 1/2" steel about a foot all around it, to beef up the "action" area. I also used the same trailer suspension setup that you used. I just ordered all my hoses and fittings yesterday. Are you guys gonna make it foot pedal operated?

This has been one of my favorite builds to watch, not just on your channel. I have a question not to be that guy because you're obviously a better fabricator and smarter than I. Could you build a mount on the log lift ramp that slid? Make it so on the lift function it was bottomed out and pushing, then for travel mode just manually lift the ramp the rampside cylinder mount would just slide in groves and stow it with your retaining arm. Not trying to be rude just a thought. Thank you so much for the content.

From the dog walking around so close. I tell mine to go lay on her bed and have a partition infront of her. Cause i know she looks at me while welding.

Just crack your injection on each cycle see if it get fuel on all cycle buddy.
