It was very good "meeting" him. Then there is the Hamburger hunt. Multiple diggers. Valentine Day finery. A dinner menu guaranteed to leave a taste on the tongue for days. I'm always excited to watch chateau diaries - but never more excited than today. My city in New Zealand was smashed by a cyclone and been 4 days cut off from everywhere with no power, internet or cell communications. It's felt a bit like an apocalypse with so much destruction and people and animals dead. Power has been on for 20 mins and after taking care of the urgent stuff watching this is the first thing on my to do list - I'm calling it my therapy!

You make everyday feel like a celebration! So glad you included Dan. He always looks his happiest when he is at LeLande. Like he’s come home again!

This actually reminded me of Geocaching.. there is an app for that and you can look for treasures around the world.. you may want to consider hiding geocaches throughout the chateau and the land around it for your guests as a perk 😊

Hey guys... next time you have a troublesome nut... instead of heating it on the tire (risking damaging the tire, etc) try some Tabasco sauce first. Seriously. It might sound weird, but as a former Marine Engineer in the Royal Canadian Navy - we resorted to this several times on old rusted nuts. Sometimes we had to go for coffee for 30 minutes or so... extreme cases took two doses. But it honestly worked! Try this before applying heat (use hear as last resort) Cheers from Newfoundland

Some hair tips, Stephanie; I also have pretty straight hair that does not take heat curls very well. What I find works (and lasts!) best for me is doing a wet set using good old fashioned setting lotion or strong hold hair mousse. Pillow rollers over night would probably work great for you!

Used to cater, we always added a bit of vegetable oil to the hot chocolate so that the pump would oooze slickery goodness, lol. Try it, it works.
