This is brilliant! At 70, I enjoy jumping on and off the tractor less each day. I may jump into this project myself when my own voice-activated SSQA remote no longer works! (He's 8 now, and in a few years, I may become the remote while he is in the seat!)

Thank you Ed! Actually, my wife suggested the braided fuel line. I was explaining what I was looking for and she happened to have her iPad in her lap and did a quick search on Amazon then showed me the fuel line and asked if that would work. Turns out it was the perfect combination of protection and flexibility I was looking for. Yep, she’s a keeper!

I've been following this project closely. You definitely have inspired me to install an automatic release for my quick attach. I however have a set of third-function hydraulic ports on my loader with operating switches on my control stick. Going to try a hydraulic cylinder instead of the linear actuator. Wish me luck.
@DIYMyWay
@DIYMyWay Жыл бұрын
You may want to consider sticking with electric with a switch on the dashboard because it seems it would be too easy to accidentally push one of the loader stick buttons and release the SSQA. Just a thought. Good luck and thanks for watching!

My only suggestion is to use dielectric grease to all the connections even though you used the waterproof connectors. Just gives an added measure of corrosion protection.

This was a great project. I will probably do the same for my 525 FEL. Have you ever considered adapting a hydraulic cylinder to change the spacing on the front forks without having to leave the operators seat? The front hydraulic capability is easily attached the bucket control via a bolt on hydraulic block and is not expensive to add to the tractor. What do you think? I enjoy your projects, I have watched many of them. I like the way you explain how you do things "my way"....
@DIYMyWay
@DIYMyWay Жыл бұрын
Thanks, Craig! No, I don’t have to move the fork spacing often enough to justify such a project. I simply raise the FEL up and tilt the forks down a bit and positioning the forks is easy. So glad you enjoy my videos! Thanks for watching!

When we got our Grand L a few months ago we just had the dealer add the hydraulic power ssqa. On our switch, it has to be held down in order to cycle through. It is actually two switches that have be pressed while it works. That's the only thing that don't like about it. However, it sure is nice not to have to get off the tractor and mess with the handles.
