With the mini tubs completed, the next step in our journey to make this car more safe is a trunk firewall. Any time a battery and fuel cell are located inside of the vehicle, NHRA requires the driver compartment be separated from those two items. We chose to make ours out of .040 aluminum. Unfortunately with no access to a bead roller, I’m not satisfied calling this one complete just yet. Stay tuned for part 2!
