@@EsotericOrderGamers It’s been awhile… probably 5 years or so since I was heavily on BGG… I blame D&D’s rise to popularity again, lol. Covid’s gotten me back on the board game kick again… captive household to replay all the old games and get me going on new ones, 😃!

For camo, you want to make areas that would be light, dark and then darker areas lighter. This is what I learned as a young man living on a military base.

I was unhappy with the subtlety of my paint job. The detail on these minis is good but not as pronounced as 40K so my dry brushing etc was... mute. After watching this I went back and added more 'painty'/'cartoony' highlights as you suggested, and as you say from play distance they REALLY pop now and I'm much happier with them, thanks for the tips great videos, also did the eyes, which I initially avoided, the way you showed and they look great. Really pleased.

Amazing work. I am doing exactly like in this video, but Gorman should IMO have a green outfit :D I also spent couple hours on ripleys shoes and then I gave up on the details..

Yeah, sometimes there are definite diminishing returns when it comes to painting very fine details. :)

Really nice paintjob! I could've and possibly maybe should've taken the time to do this, but instead decided to settle for "tabletop quality" and only spent 30 min on each figure - with the magic of GW's Contrast paints ^^ Sometimes I just want to get some paint on the minis and start playing! X)

I use a soaked folded up paper towel and it does the job.

Looks really good, think I might stay away from the camo and do a flat OD green. I have done the Ww2 German pea dot camo. But it takes up so much time to do haha

If I did them again I probably would have done the same! Detailed camouflage doesn't really translate well onto minis of this scale.

They're on the product pages. If you click the link to the base game or each expansion, those pages have images of the pained miniatures you can download.

What camera do you use for filming when your painting?

A Canon Powershot G7 X Mark II. A good camera, though I find the autofocus frustratingly slow.

I have some minis that were painted with normal paint. How can I prime it and paint it with the proper paints?

I don't know what you mean by normal paint, but you can strip the paint from miniatures before repriming. Generally, Dettol is a product I've used for this in the past, but do your research and test carefully first. Plastics vary greatly and I take no responsibility if the plastic melts! :)

Good tutorial, I almost did the same way from the video, tough your highlighting was too much for my taste and the skin color didnt turn out so good for me as for you in the video, hovewer I tried to copy it.

Nothing tricky, just Kislev Flesh with a bit of white added for the highlight.

@@EsotericOrderGamers Somehow for me they become too "dark" with the Sepia. Other than that they turned out very cool, so thanks for the tutorial :)

@@robertpapancsev8891 Remember when you apply washes, you can 'mop up' areas where the coverage is too heavy with a dry brush. Mop up where it pools too much, wipe the brush on a paper towel, repeat, until the coverage is just how you want it.
