Dude if someone just made four of the second one and attach all the air ways to one at the middle you could make a car! (And if you found a way to control the suction you could control the speed and if you reverse suctioned you’d be able to reverse)😳✊😎🏎

Unfortunately the second one runs on the idea that the vacuum sucks the piston up, then the piston’s rotation changes allowing air to enter through the bottom so the piston can go down again. Then when it reached the bottom, it turns upright again, allowing it to be sucked up again my blocking the air intake. If you used a vacuum to somehow blow it, the air would just pass straight through it as the piston is designed to only provide power when it’s being sucked. Throttles to control airflow do exist, they are just moving walls in the engine you move with your finger that restrict the flow of air through the engine. For the suction to work, there needs to be air coming in for it to suck.

No need to reverse the suction. Just use a transmission.

@@ThomasthetankengineE2alt Had to go and test that on my own vacuum engine! Unfortunately you’d need to change the timing for that to work on most engines. It’s close, though. Just a few degrees on the valve and it’d work quite nicely actually

If the three cylinder ran at 1/3 the RPM of the one cylinder, then the efficiency of 3 cylinders would be equal to one cylinder however you would be able to measure the improved efficiency of using three cylinders instead of a single cylinder from the difference of the three cylinder RPM verses that of 1/3 of the single cylinder

If you want a better seal on your airflow, put a Lego tire on the vacuum.

It would be better if you used a lego tyre in the vacuum mouth for a better seal. (Tested by myself)

Hii I was hoping to make a vacuum engine too, but the problem is i dont know what type of vacuum cleaner i should use or how strong its suction is, maybe tell how strong is the suction of yours?

Btw the top piece Dosent matter because all the pistons are attached though the drive shaft it would move it all but it does look cool

it does matter because you want the vacua e powering all the pistons because if you only power one it will not be able to turn the other two so connecting the hoover to all three it makes more power

@@reesemolloy6109You know there are regular engines, and for example you have a 100 hp inline 4 engine and the fuel doesn't explode at one of the pistons, then you don't have 100 hp just only 60 hp But you're half right because the pistons are on one shaft, only the one piece of piston that doesn't work will hold the rest down and you won't be as strong

I use bosch electric screwdriver and it spins very faast and i now that it defeats the whole purpose of vaccum engines but i dont have vaccum

If you look more closely, you will see that the piston does not come down vertically, but at an angle, and then makes a small hole. That's the valve

how can the second engine work if there is no valve at all?If you make a piston and put a vaccum above,it wont spin,it will just be pulled on the top and stay,it wont spin😂

look at the 1:16 and 1:29, it's explained in captions, basically the piston tilts when it's at the bottom, acting as a simple valve
