Dominoes or larger blocks can be used in some simple stacking challenge for students. Patterns are shown with the idea of stacking the blocks to match the design.

Your class would be amazing you explain it so simply that anyone can understand. But allow them to experiment themselves and solve problems. It's amazing. You have the right balance of creativity and thinking

Balancing is awesome! It proves the earth isn’t moving. I love to rock a balance. Using natural materials is interesting because every stone or rock has its own characteristics in design and weight. It also is a great objection lesson in being weighed in the scales of the Creator. He doesn’t have unjust measurements and dislikes them. Math is the balancing an equation. I appreciate this video that I may use some of these techniques and challenges to help others see the joy in being upright in nature.

I am a homeschool mom who loves to show your videos. I plan on using your examples!! I wish We could take your class. I found my love of science in adulthood and might have found it sooner had I had a teacher like you. Thanks!

Thanks April, it's nice to hear they can help you. I found my love of science as I started teaching it. My high school experience was very dull.

Hi Bruce, hoping your recovery is going smooth! I'm upset that I just found your channel, keep making videos when you feel up to the task - they are amazing. I'd also happily help you get a website going, you are a gem. If you wouldn't mind, could you send a copy of your block challenges to jcalvert@scarsdaleschools.org?

i created a 6 foot high stack of dominoes once. each layer 0:30 going up was just a little bit offset towards the center, and at two points it suddenly jumps back out to the full width. (each layer has two vertical dominoes of distance x from each other) (each layer has a slightly smaller x than the last, jumping back to the maximum x at 2 points along the way whenever it became 0)
