I'm a huge fan of castles and other medieval stuff. I also really like the way you plan the build out, I think I will try it out sometime.

I like this sort of video as well as your usual. Looking forward to it. You have inspired me to stray more into lore, and oddly enough laundry builds...

Have you hear of the youtube channel Shadiversity? most of his early content was on castles, and he even made a model of his fantasy dream castle but kept it as realistic as possible. The way he explains things about castles could be verry useful and give you ideas, even if your not trying to be super realistic. Would you like me to post a link to that video here for you?

I used to watch Shad back around 2015 actually, I know most of the castle stuff. I also have a couple of 20th century textbooks on castles for reference, but I appreciate the suggestion :)

He's doing a lot more "How realistic is this fantasy thing, and how could we make it work" these days, especually on his new channel. But he had a chance recently to visit a lot of real life castles and for me, watching them has helped me so much with my own world building and stories. For me, it may be fantasy, but i still like to think about the people and how realistic it would be for them to build the castle, cathedral, village, towns, cities, homes, etc. They may have magic, but even magic has limits and cant do everything.

@@MatthewsLivingAdventures yeah, I visited Mont Saint Michel a little while back and it was really inspiring for me, changed the way I build in some ways
