Don's method of creating coil pots is so much better & easier than using an extruder! Love the user-friendly instructions!

The tip on making a profile guide is great and your technique of coil slamming and cutting are very informative. Just love your process.I wish I have a kiln that can fire such big projects. What size kilns you use?
@donhallworks Жыл бұрын
My kiln is 7.5 cubic feet. Glad you enjoyed the video.

Hey Don, your video is very instructional but I want to ask you where did you get your huge role in pen?? thank you

You mean rolling pin? I got it a Leslie's Ceramic Supply In Berkley CA. Unfortunately it is no longer in business. They are not hard to fine. Look on Amazon. Good Luck!

normally I use a rat tail comb with all the teeth broken off accept for one inch. .

What is the liquid? Slip? Could you please list the materials you use such as the wheel, amount of clay etc. I assume the pot then goes in a kiln? Or does this clay cure as is?

Would like to see the coiling process that creates the curves in the design ... in this case you started narrow then built up in a V shape until you rounded off the top. How did you create the V shape and round off top?

Tooled out a meet coil and dropped it one time to have a flat side to attach to previous coil.

Hi great video! How to you make the top of the pot curve inward and get smaller?
@donhallworks11 ай бұрын
I use progressively shorter coils and press inward.
@marcieclaus6508 Жыл бұрын

Those are made by pressing my thumb downward on each coil. Merry Christmas
