Building Collapse In Washington, D.C.

A building collapsed in Washington, D.C. Wednesday afternoon, right after two women crossed in front of it. A fire truck a block away saw the building starting to crumble and drove over to help. The building was under renovation, according to fire officials. One woman was taken to the hospital after possibly being hit by debris. No one else was harmed and no other buildings were affected.

That fire truck was already moving at a good rate of speed when this happened. You can see the back tires are fully locked up as the truck is braking HARD!

I’m guessing the vibration from the heavy fire truck may have contributed to the collapse, not caused it per se but was the “final straw”

You could be right. If you take a closer look, there are no roof beams to hold the wall in position and the ground floor corner seem to be weak as it collapses simultaneously.
