Funded by a community not for profit business in Coalville & Loughborough two Leicestershire towns.
Born out of hospital radio and now celebrating 10 years of broadcasting and stable funding.

This is really cool. In my country it wouldn´t be possible to broadcast radio, as this is illegal even for community radios. Here everything has to be run via Internet, and you can´t broadcast most of the music because of copyright. Hats of to you actually getting on air Radio!

15:30 Best to keep your Carrilon Wellbeing Radio broadcasts on the more reliable analogue AM band. If you must migrate CWR, then move it to the analogue FM band. These broadcasting methods are tried and true, giving far better service area coverage.

@@top40researcher31 Station 2WEB was on the AM band though I don't know which frequency. It was operated by *Western Educational Broadcasters.* I'm not sure if it's still on AM or has been moved to an FM frequency.

@@top40researcher31 The analogue signal is far more efficient and thus can cover a greater area. a 1.5Kw signal on FM can carry well over 100 Km of distance as long as there are no topographic impediments.

Yes, in the United Kingdom you need a community radio license from Ofcom, a government regulatory body which, amongst others, regulates broadcast licenses and polices the airwaves.
