Building Custom Window Covers for my Vanlife Van

Today's project consists of measuring and preparing the custom magnetic window covers for the back of the van.

i know! it will be perfect... the only problem will be getting it down into bed position... i imagine ill have to get used to matching it perfectly into the slot ive made in between the seats..

Hello Matt. You really have been clever with the interior of your truck, a great craftsman. I really like the truck and your consept for working. You have made some great tour presentages from the far east, and I think people are looking forward to some great reviews from interesting areas and exiting trails in the US. It's a great concept, ofcourse you can make reviews of exciting tours also in the rest of the world. I will wish you luck. Best Regards Arne G in Norway

Im not sure what it is but Im leaning towards being a relatable good communicator. I understand why I liked your China videos , your factory tour videos , the world tour was down my alley , a van build I get but making cushions and window covers ...... I woukd never have guessed I would have been so interested. Broadening my horizons in less glamorous ways.

I married a left handed person. My son-in-law is left handed. Some of the most creative people I know are lefties. But sadly, an absolute lunatic coworker of mine is a lefty.

Matt, just a suggestion. We had a bus that we converted but we found that the uncovered metal on the interior tended to cause a lot of condensation in the cold weather. On a cold night there was moisture streaming down the windows and on all the metal. We were not as thorough as you have been in regards to your insulation but just something to note. Love all your videos.

yea.. im concerned about that too... i dont have any "bare" metal that is exposed though... its all coated with Lizard Skin insulation... so im curious to see how it reacts...

@@JaYoeNation We put sticks of chalk in the bottom of the window frames where we could and the plan was to cover all the bare metal with thin felt but we never got around to it. We were living in our bus while our cottage was being built, about 6 months.

Make sure they are sized for easy storage when you aren't using. Folding them will leave crease marks. Other than that, love the finishing touches. Too funny about that guy knowing about the haters.

yea i will sew creases into them just like the VANMADE GEAR covers... im sort of using them as a template.
