I'm a simple man. Got my dream guitar in 1983. It was a Martin D-35. Still own and love it. I have bought and sold a lot of guitars sense I got my D-35. I now have a great balance of guitars that are all players. Six in all and not looking for anything else.

When John Lennon said that the Beatles were more famous than Jesus Christ, he wasn't bragging. He was bemoaning the state of pop stardom versus meaningful faith. It was actually a criticism of the values of the fanbase. He took a lot of crap for it, but think about his comments from that perspective.

When John started playing his D-18, my heart skipped a beat and a tear welled up in my eyes. I just love the amount of bass it has! The tone is just the kind of sound that I love. So cool! 😂😊

Another great show Jeremy. I purchased an Eastman E 10D 3 years ago and it’s only got better with age. I’m no expert but I am very impressed with the sound and quality of my Eastman. BTW I’m a lefty and at times my choices are slim. Keep up the great work.

Gee that Martin is great. I kind of think some of the boutique guitars are seen as the best of the best, but then you hear something like that, d-18 and nothing beats it.

I bought a Gibson Inspired J45. It sounds great and looks great. I love it! Then I heard the Eastman version. I’ve been drooling over the sound of that one ever since. I’m also definitely now drooling over John’s Eastman. It’s so gorgeous aesthetically and totally.

I have been playing live for about a decade now and I recently bought an LR Baggs Voiceprint DI and it's a complete game changer. I was looking for a pickup for my Martin Authentic D28 1937 and I was between the LR Baggs Lyric and the K&K pure mini. Those pickups led me to find the Voiceprint DI. What I love so much about the VPDI is that it works with both passive and active pu's. It sounds wonderful in my D18 standard with the full Anthem but it sounds just as good with my J45 standard that has the K&K trinity. I am also able to switch between guitars in a live setting just my switching to a preset on made for that guitar on the DI. There is no latency between the DI and the amp either. I have 5 guitars that I switch out in live settings (2 Eastmans, 2 Martins, and a Gibson) and they all work great with the voiceprint DI. I am sold on the IR technology. Anyway, great live show. I loved all the guitars. I love the collab as well. I have been watching both channels for many years. It's great to see you guys coming together. I am also only a few hours from the Acoustic Shoppe so I need to stop on by sometime. Thanks again Jeremy and the Acoustic Shoppe!

I have an E1OM and it's great, mainly because it's as close to a Martin 000 18 as I can get on a budget. That's where Eastman shines and I would like to expand. However, and alas I'm a lefty and the range is all but non existent. John as a dealer is the left hand range as limited as it appears on the website?

Actually John Lennon was right they were more popular than Jesus at the time. and like he explained many times he wasn’t saying they were better or he was better just that it was a fact at that time. I don’t think he was being egotistical whatsoever. His words were taken out of context like so many interviewers do.
@scottfishkind5335
@scottfishkind5335 7 ай бұрын
I agree, they were more popular at that time! I’m sure it was more than a little unsettling for them as well to have that level of fame when they were still just four human beings, extremely gifted human beings, but still human beings, with a lot of pressure and expectations.

Interesting to hear that d18s were once thought to be so inferior to the 28s. I’m more of a strummer, and I just don’t like the 28s at all for that. Sound too shrill to me. The only rosewood back guitar I’ve loved strumming was a 914ce. That thing was so smooth.. too bad I’ll never be able to afford it.

I have this guitar it is bright but in a good way. Not brittle or harsh nice and clear. And it has a nice balanced bass. Its obviously not the sound of a dreadnought but nice and clear. And it has beautiful inlays. It’s a great guitar basically a Taylor on a budget but sounds better than Taylor in my opinion. I got it because I already have Martin’s so I already have that sound.

L.R. Baggs Lyric has the best sound. The Anthem just allows you to blend in the old, bad, piezo sound you’re used to. Cut that out with the Lyric. You do need the crappy piezo to work with modelers though because that’s how they’re designed.
