Droid building is always fun to do! I did one last year for the first time. Got a question: With your black droid with the orange head. Did they give you the Chopper arms to stick out of the sides of the head from the little side head holes? They are supposed to provide them with every Chopper head. If not, you can contact them to tell them so and they will help get them for you. The arms come in a brass or metal gray color. Whichever you choose. I wish the cast member at the conveyer belt took more time to explain because Chopper and R2 bodies can use each other's center feet or wheel as well as each other's heads. The Chopper body can also use R2 legs, but if you do that, you have to keep that grey piece they took off the bottom of your son's droid in the center before you put on the center foot or wheel.

Thanks for explaining that - I was very curious why she took the bottom off of the son’s droid.

It was really fun to build. And I agree with you, but what I noticed while there was that most cast members helping acted the same way.

Thanks for sharing your experience! 8 months later, do you still engage with them, or have they become shelf sitters? I’m intrigued with getting one, but I also fear that its novelty would diminish and then it’d become a shelf sitter.

Oh no. We use them here. By "we", I mean mostly me and my wife. I also do custom painting on some of them. I find Ebay is a great place to find pieces that I like and then try to find enough to put together another one. We only got one from the park, but have made several from Ebay.

We don't use them much. My droid lives on my office book case for display and my son's droid is in the backpack. We play every once in a while, but not much. With that being said, I'm happy we got them. Good memories and fun experience.
