Geez I love this kind of video! Now I'm heading to the shop to go make a cage......😁

Dude this is awsome! I built a cage for my rc4wd hilux and just eyeballed it. I had the exact same perspective, it isnt a comp crawler its just something cool. I really appreciate your down to earth attitude towards just having fun with building and stuff that looks cool. 👌

Dude! Great work! Im on board with doing things that we want and not necessarily for performance. I don't always measure either but one thing I did that makes life so much easier is welding two sticks side by side only at the ends. that way when I ben them I get two for one and its an exact mirror on the other side. It speeds up the process a ton and gives you more time for the fun detail stuff! New sub here!

This dudes sick and so down to earth. Everyone drop a sub just so he can reach his dreams! It cost nothing!

Hi man I am from PR and a big fan of you!! Thanks for what you doing. I like all you build’s. I will make my own as you!! Keeping watching you !!

Great video. Thanks for making it. When you go to bend your metal, it’ll save your hands and give you a lot more leverage if you put the rod into some type of pipe and use it as torque. Can’t wait to try this!

The cage could be a freaking body it self - I already see how amazing this crawler will be - Awesome work !!! Perhaps Mad Max style? HAha

congrats on being monetized, definitely pretty cool to see your channel growing, and cant wait to see what in store. cage looks really good. like you said who cares if its not perfect, still looks good, and better than what i could do, but going to try again on my toyota body. have a great Christmas if you celebrate it, if not have a great rest of the year.

This is great. I wish I had the time and means to learn welding and cage work. These are my favorite rigs to come across on the trails and at beat the creek.

If you heat the rod with a torch and then do your bend it will make it easier :) Just sit a Bucket of water next to you and quench it once you get the bend. It doesn't take much heat to make the metal easier to bend

There is a black iron oxide paint that would look great in one of these all rusted up.
@cgnovice29693 ай бұрын
Great vid! Couldnt you bend two rods at the same time? That way they will be more or less exact mirrors

Can you show how you fasten exocage to body? I’m wanting to build my first on on a tf2 body. Don’t want to weld to frame. Love your work My style. Forget measuring tapes lol

Can i use portable tig weld to make a cage like that? thankyou for answering
@WafflesRC-pb4nt6 ай бұрын
I believe it would work just fine. I think it might be better than my big welder honestly.
@gtboogie48465 ай бұрын
i want to do something similar, but how do i mount it and still be able to take the body off to change the battery and stuff ?
@WafflesRC-pb4nt5 ай бұрын
On this one I made it so I can get the battery in and out from the bottom since it doesnt have full sliders. I have the body bolted to the cage and the cage bolted to the frame. 4 bolts out and I can have it off to fix or service.

Can you make a full drift rc body with just that tube I really really want one
@ivantheseal89366 ай бұрын
Did you mig or flux core weld it?
@WafflesRC-pb4nt6 ай бұрын
I used a mig. But I think a flux would do just as well, just with more cleaning after
@The918OBS7 ай бұрын
I might have missed it .But would you care to tell us where you found the body and brand of it? thanks its coming out killer .
@WafflesRC-pb4nt7 ай бұрын
I got it from AMain Hobby. Its not a crawler body thats why the wheelbase is so short.
@The918OBS7 ай бұрын
@WafflesRC-pb4nt thanks for the response bud I'm guessing it's a Jconcepts. Merry Christmas!

Watch hours? You don’t get monetized for having 1k subscribers anymore?
@WafflesRC-pb4nt7 ай бұрын
Nope. You have to have 1000 subscribers and 4000 watch hours.
@HollerRC7 ай бұрын
@@WafflesRC-pb4ntthat sucks. Maybe it’s because of bots. Grats on getting monetized.
