It may seem odd, but I was glad to see pollution control components incorporated in the build. This will be the way going forward... making power while remaining emissions compliant. There is no doubt it's coal rollers that brought on the EPA crack down, but youtubers showing big builds while defeating emissions devices really brought the wrong kind of government attention to our little part of the modding landscape. Andrewtech is a well respected shop. There's a good chance I'll need a retune on my STI when I relocate to NC from CO. I think it will be worth the trip to have them tune the car.

@@SunsetClubRacing So far it seems like they've made significant improvements in reliability and power, solid gains from the cold air intake/piggyback tune/resonator delete. Very sporty but stock tune has a weird power band that only really gives you torque from 2500RPM to 5000RPM. It eats mountain roads now though, smooth band from 2k-7k with no aggressive engine steer
@SunsetClubRacing2 жыл бұрын
@@TheAquarium1 good to hear because it’s a neat little car. And low torque bands are normal for drop in tunes on stock I4s. They aren’t built to handle massive high end loads and neither are the transaxles. VAG cars have the highest tolerances that I’ve seen, about 350-400lb.ft.
