I'm an aerospace stress analyst. The kinks in the side supports aren't ideal for load transfer. Also consider diagonal struts somewhere for lateral strength. I'd recommend a basic finite element software to design your support structure.

First thing on his design is twin sofas. You would think that the initial design elements would be those of a nautical nature, you know, the things that make a boat safe and prevent people from like, drowning. This should be good. The first outing of the other boat ended in dry dock for like 2 years, and once repaired, it sank. Building boats is a great idea.
@isaacfortner
@isaacfortner 2 ай бұрын
Please, Chris, PLEASE run this by a naval engineer. There’s a reason pontoon and house boats are built the way they are. The last thing you need is another boat sinking, or worse, one loaded with all your friends. This is serious stuff, and the Willamette/Columbia Rivers you want to take this on are deadly. You should also get this certified by the Coast Guard with a vessel number (which I think is required for registration anyway). All of this should done anyway if you actually plan to produce these things for people to buy, which sounds like a liability nightmare.

For advise, I have a double decker premier pontoon. Things I really like: 1- helm in under the hard top 2- seating for guest near the helm . ( I had another pontoon where the seats were a little further, was feeling out of the party sometimes) I would allow clear views of the back of the boat from helm, maybe have stairs on opposite side Have front of the boat lighter, maybe move hot tub back. Everyone seems to hang in the sun , makes waves splash over board . Hard to make toons plane as well. Think about weight distribution, mine is a little offset to one side. More seating on one side makes the boat lean when everyone sits . Just some advice from my few years of having pontoon of all kind Great project!!!

This will fail harder than the yacht. That's my bet. But should make for good entertainment.

@@microracer24 no sir/maam the problem is I cant get emotionally involved. why should I care if the creator doesn't. Is it just for views, sure. I used to watch because I could learn, and then I got emotionally invested. It is all over the place now, a boat, a lambo, another boat, a camper truck... I want to be emotionally involved and learn. I just cannot even watch because it isn't worth my time, and I have a hard time believing the people around him think it is worth it emotionally. Take that as you may, and continue watching if that is your thing.

This is an awesome project and I love it! I built a 20 x 10 raft for river floating years ago to house spec with full electricity water slide bar spotlight. So this hits really close and deer to my heart love the build!
