Matt Risinger is in LA with fellow KZfaqr, Enes Yilmazer, to tour a recently built mega mansion to see what sort of equipment it takes to run a place this large and how well designed it actually is when it comes to the efficiency and durability of the home.

We need more videos on how those mansions are being deviced. Getting into the specific of the wiring, the HVAC, the plumbing... The panel example for the walls was perfect examples of the level of details expected! What a nice "trick" and gave me a ton of idea for dealing with pesky after the fact wiring...

It's easy to appreciate the thought, detail, and time invested into making a home like this but in reality it's just an overpriced home. At the end of the day does a 1" or 3" space between the glass really make it worth millions more? or the edge of the counter top for that matter? Spend more time and effort fixing the state and city from crime, corrupt politicians etc... because nobody is going to care about another LA mansion when your home is surrounded by scumbags.

Appreciate the look inside. The house interior has the same look as corporate office space we build in Florida. No offense to anyone involved, just funny how different regional tastes are. I also noticed a lack of discussion about efficiency, air sealing, etc., which is odd, considering that’s kinda your thing. Are high-end builders in So Cal relying on the mild weather to make up for lackluster practices? I hope not. If anything, the mild weather should make it easy.

I also follow Enes on his channel and have seen some amazing homes. Bravo for having him and the contractor on to show this amazing home. I would have loved more info on the performance of the house but I understand at that price point they are more interested in their quality of living more than cost. It would be nice to see what they could or have done to mitigate cost for utilities at that price point. I only seen the high end, efficient German HVAC system and one of the hot water heaters. What are the cost saving to using those systems as opposed to others or are they just more reliable?

Anyone know what the interior doors are made from? The kichen and bathrm counters? I missed this info, I guess. I apologize for nitpicking but if i was spending 80M, I'd want the wooden panel in the bathroom to match grains, to blend in with the wood wall. This panel is on wall beside the gorgeous tub. The bathroom drawers are fun but I'm too clumsy, whatever I'd spilled on the counter would drip into the drawer.

It's quite the sight that's for sure, and in many ways it is beautiful, but I can't help but think that there is something obscene about the wealth distribution in a country where someone can buy a private house that costs this much money. I just cannot believe that it is morally right that one person or family has this amount of wealth when so many other hard working, educated, experienced, and intelligent people take home less and less every year.
