Building the 1960 Chevrolet Custom Fleetside Pickup truck with GO Kart 1/25 Scale Model Kit from AMT

In the mood for a pickup truck build? Check this AMT model kit out. This 1960 Chevrolet Fleetside Pickup Truck went together very well and was a very enjoyable model kit. Full detail including a very nice engine makes this a very nice addition to any collection.
Also includes a bonus GO Kart model but it is not very good and was tricky to put together.
I built this as per the assembly manual and painted the model a yellow colour, nothing fancy here!

Really nice work. Looks amazing, I would not have thought to paint the body yellow, but it really pops.

Yeah my frame was warped too it was bowing I had to tie string all the way around tie tight an glue the crap out of I literally had to custom make a little wedge that looks pretty cool as a display rack to have a contact point to hold it from bowing it was the second time I got a model that had real issues I also had an AMT Dodge charger Town & country that look like it was too close to a fire on the inner part of the frame had flash literally on the body frame ah fun times

Found one of these at goodwill, don't know the original price but for me it was 5.99 (without tax) btw it was located in Los Angeles goodwill

Do you do any prep work on the body. Sanding before priming or painting

No prep work, just spray paint the bare plastic and hope for the best. The only thing I do is wash everything with soap and warm water before painting.
