Hello! Welcome to Part 1 of my Disney Museum puzzle series. This is the 9000 piece Disney Museum puzzle by Ravensburger, and what an awesome puzzle it is. Exactly the superb quality you would expect from a Ravensburger, lovely portraits of the characters and stupendously big! Upon completion this beast will be 193cm x 139cm and I can’t wait to see it completed. I hope you enjoy as I put together the portraits, in this first half, and see my process and plan for completing them.
There is an unboxing video of this puzzle already up on my channel, in it I go through the contents of the box and also I mix the bags of pieces together! Here is the link for that video if you haven’t seen it yet 🧩

Looks like a lovely puzzle and an interesting one to do. I hate to criticise such a good puzzle - and this is just a personal feeling - but if this is a Disney Museum I would have liked to see the early films on the left side and as you move across the picture the more modern ones on the right. Also many of the main Disney characters could have been included (like Peter Pan, Donald Duck, Goofy, Pluto, the seven dwarfs, etc) by making the pictures include more than one character. It's still a great puzzle though. 😃👍

It is a lovely puzzle definitely, but I agree - Ravensburger giant puzzles do tend to be a bit on the expensive side. I usually have to think a bit or save a bit before just going ahead and clicking buy, but I do think it was worth it. I suppose you might find it more reasonably priced if you buy it used? I’m really glad you enjoyed the video, thank you for watching 😍

I still can’t believe that you mixed all the pieces together. Good puzzle light in the winter is definitely a challenge especially since our day jobs absorb most of the good light. I am currently snowed in so it’s a perfect Saturday to do puzzles. I am currently doing Ravensburger’s Disney Lady and the Tramp- 1000 pieces. Those giant Educas are some of the most beautiful puzzles I have ever seen. Thank you for “inviting us in” to do puzzles with you. Your warm spirit is a bright spot on cold days. Stay warm and well. ❤️🧩

Hi! Where are you snowed in? (if you don’t mind me asking). We’ve hardly had any snow this winter (I’m in Scotland) - it’s been very mild this time around. I know what you mean about light - I have soft boxes that I use for filming, so they are ideal for getting good light, it’s just that I don’t always want to sit at the table when I’m sorting, but cosy up on the couch instead 😊 I do like the Disney puzzles I must admit, Ravensburger do some lovely ones - I hope you enjoy your Lady and the Tramp puzzle 😍 I agree about the Educa - they are gorgeous, I have never done an Educa yet, but I have one in my collection now, which I’m really looking forward to building. It’s my absolute pleasure to do puzzles with you, I have met such amazing and lovely people since starting my puzzling journey - puzzlers truly are a warm and welcoming community of people. Thank you for your kind words. Take care and happy puzzling! 🥰

I don’t mind you asking at all. I am in the US- Ohio specifically. We had 12 inches/30.5 centimeters of snow on Thursday and that was on top of a freezing rain ice layer. So it’s just taking a bit to get all the roads cleared and of course residential roads are lower priority. I don’t mind. I have good food and puzzles. Thankful for work from home days this week. I made quiche for brunch and am enjoying the peace of my house. Puzzles are a wonderful way to spend the day and I often listen to books while I puzzle.

Eek! Even in bad winters we don’t get snow that bad where I am. Great that you can stay cosy and have all your yummy food in 😊 my Mum taught me how to make quiche when I was younger - I love home made quiche! I couldn’t agree more with your last statement 😃 I sometimes listen to books too, on my Echo device, but I also sometimes put on a TV series or film that I have seen hundreds of times 😍

Hi! Thank you for commenting, and watching the video 😍 I really think it was helpful to do the portraits strategically like that, I didn’t know I was going to do it, until I’d finished sorting and I found that there were so many pieces where I was undecided between piles, so I just thought I would do them at the same time then and it solves the problem - and it really worked! I hope it helps you when you build your puzzle too. 😊 Yep, I don’t think I’ll ever grow to like sorting, it’s about the only that puts me off large piece count puzzles (a bit 😆) it really is boring 🤣 all so worth it though once it’s done x

I used your method of simultaneously working on two similar sections at the same time with my most recent puzzle and it worked great. It was fairly quick with only 1000 pieces, but you are making me want to try a bigger one. Not sure how to keep my cats away from the puzzle though! My cat jumped on the table and the almost finished puzzle slid to the floor and completely fell apart.
@Vickymakesandbuilds
@Vickymakesandbuilds 2 жыл бұрын
Great! I’m glad the method worked for you 😍 it worked really well in this puzzle I have to say. Cats and puzzles are a tough conundrum to overcome. Every time I finish puzzling I take the necessary steps to hide or cover the puzzle from the cat, but there is just no accounting for that random moment when you are puzzling away and the cat just suddenly decides to jump up and surf across the table on my puzzle 😆 That has happened a couple of times. I do catch him before he tries it sometimes, but mostly now, I get out a battered old box that he likes to lay on and usually he seems happy to settle on that while I puzzle. Sometimes I feed him first so that the doesn’t start pestering me for food while I’m puzzling. Every cat is different I guess, but I have just learned what his quirks are. It avoids most disasters, but sometimes it just happens despite my best efforts! 😻 I would say don’t let that put you off big puzzles though! They are so much fun 😃

Hi there! Thanks for telling me, it’s hard to know who is who across KZfaq and Instagram as many have different profile names 😃 it made me laugh when you compared the frames to the curtains because I had often thought about them when I was staring at the massive pile of gold frame pieces, thinking “how on earth am I going to build all of these!?” 😆 I have done a lot of sorts and shuffles through these pieces now, so I believe I’m much better acquainted with them and can differentiate them more easily than the red curtains…of course, time will tell - they might prove me completely wrong when I start building them! 🤣 thank you for watching and for your encouragement! @@Vickymakesandbuilds The largest puzzle I have in my collection is a 3000 piece of four large animals. My sister got it for me five years ago now but I'm still too scared to start it. Hopefully I can get over that fear soon cause watching your videos has definitely put me in the puzzling mood.
@Vickymakesandbuilds
@Vickymakesandbuilds 2 жыл бұрын
He he. I understand about the fear, I got that when I did my first 6k puzzle. For me, I find that sorting helps with that - I’ll be the first to admit that I don’t enjoy sorting, but once it is done, you can do smaller sections and the puzzle just doesn’t feel quite so big until it is well on its way to being finished 😃 and when you realise that it’s coming together, it spurs you on to finish - does that make sense? If you still aren’t sure though, you could maybe do a 2k puzzle first? Thank you so much for watching, I’m glad they put you in the puzzling mood 😍

Thank you for the video. KZfaq has many puzzle makers saying things like," watch me do a 24,000 piece puzzle" but instead they do 6 separate 4000 piece puzzles that can be joined together at the end. You on the other hand say " watch me do a 9000 piece puzzle and actually do it! This is a far bigger achievement. I salute you 😺
