Project 'Street Monster' with the Arrma Mojave EXB. Part one is base line testing, figuring out aero, performance and stability. Good results on 6s so far... either the ESC or the Lipos were not not happy on 8s. Part 2 will probably be different lipos, and possibly gearing down slightly.

I'm installing the Kraton 4s system and running gear into my senton 3s the weekend, gonna try the 20T 24T and 26T pinions I have, and see what speeds I can hit on 4s, will postas soon as I've edited the video👍

Awesome project Phil. When I saw the video thumbnail I thought it was one of those little drift cars that look a bit like Arrmas but then I saw that it's a great big Mojave! Good luck with more speed :-)

Just dropped 450 on my 1st RC. Drove to a Hobby shop not to far away from me. Ended up grabbing the Arrma Senton 4x4 3s blx brushless in blue.

Such a great place to speed run. Mojave looks awesome, love the stance and great speeds too. I just picked up a Mojave with Max6 ESC and 4985 1650kv motor, so was intrigued to see what it may be able to do. Would love to see 80mph+ out of it!

I love this build did the same thing . not good with the editing part on you tube. but i used emp hubs kraton exb rear spindles, infraction chassis, and 8s castle system every thing else is mojave exb. running 27 pinion and 46 spur , 90mph potential ,, need that runway, good job bro

@@TomleyRC Anytime brother. I wonder when the airflow through the body will cause the car to parachute? Maybe it won't...might just slow it down. Possibly just get some clear lexan and screw a piece as a wind screen.

Looking good mate, like you said it not being the best car for aero, have you got any plans for weight reduction mods? Maybe adding some carbon fibre towers over alu ones? Other than that I'm really impressed by the speeds you were getting with the minimal amount of modifications, keep it up!

Just got exb Mojave with ezrun max 8. I'm going to run 6s. Just for general bashing,in the instructions it's says have to fit the 4 cap pack what's in the box with the max 8.? If you running 6s.? Do I really need to.hoping for your reply.thanks John.

From my experience with the max6, the higher the c rating and charge of the battery the better. I know that sounds obvious, but I have a bigger, heavier monster truck that does 70 with almost that same setup except for my motor is the 1650kv hobbywing. I was having the same issues and it ended up being my batteries. I was using a 6s 50c and the esc would shut down at max speed. I then bought a 6s 120c battery and never had that issue again. I know that these could be separate problems but just thought I would share my experience. I just want to see that Mojave hit 90 or 100!

I had a similar problem with my 4x4 SCT race truck. I had a big motor and ESC and the 50c lipo I was using would just get hot and felt slow. Same everything else with a 120c and its much cooler and runs well.

@@TomleyRC I think it's the correct thing to try first. Easier than re gearing. It worked fine on 6s which, at least in my thought process, means it should have no issues with more power other than maybe motor heat. Weird that it shut off on 8s and not 6s. Gotta be the batteries. Good luck!

Hi geezer if you want it to crack the 100 mph barrier I would go fo a 1100kv TP motor and castle xls2 esc this seem's to be the weapon of choice for quite a few speed runners , you could just go for a lower kv motor as that one sounds like its at its limit , taller gearing and more motor torque should get it up there ,

I love to see bigger wheel and tire combos on short course trucks. The normal smaller wheels and tires that they come with looks kinda silly. (Yes even the Texas UDR and Losi Baja Rey)

I would put a 2200kv castle motor in it run 6s and keep the esc put the gears back you had

Wondering if your running any toe in on the front , that would make it twitchy at low speed which will straighten when at full power .

Yes, that could be the reason. I set the camber when I lowered it, but didn't look at the Toe properly

Great vid. Are they smaller wheels than stock? Pinion can be larger with small wheels. So don't go to small

Yeah slightly smaller... but the gearing is straight from the Limitless... so needs to come down a little to get more out the motor

Raz shiffrin and those guys are running the castle xlx2 with 800kv or 1100kv. Hw max 5 combo is good to 140mph according to the speed runs I’ve watched on KZfaq.

Loads of cars run 8s,it's extremely common,people even run more 12s and above,Kevin Talbot has tried to build ghe worlds fastest rc car and he said it was 30s

That didnt look like that fast but it is a big truck. What's the kv limit on that esc? Seemed like the hearing wasn't tall enuff, it got up to speed quick and the motor sounded like it was sceamin!

I tried speed running with a max6 and a max5 they don't like it. I don't know what it is with them? They don't seem to like being under full load for more than a couple seconds but for bashing there's no better ESC! You'll have to get a castle my friend! Exb looks absolutely gorgeous with them grp's 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻

@@TomleyRC Might I suggest the mamba monster X 8s, I've pulled over 400amps out of mine and it's got more to go too! I just couldn't trust an xlx2 after all the ones that have set on fire. It's not the ESC I'd be worried about it's the car if it gets damaged? Castle won't replaced that !

I have a 2s losi 22s-sct that runs 70 mph on 2s with a 70 amp dynamite fuze esc and 3300kv Fuze motor. I'm using a Gens Ace Redline battery 8200mah, 130c, 2s. The thing is crazy fast

Check out the setup on my 6s Typhon. I was able to hit 101mph on stock electronics.

I have a 6s Typhon and the thing is so reliable. I bought the Mojave EXB and smoked 2 Castle 8s motors in minutes. I should have bought the Spektrum motor from my wife's Kraton 8s, which has also been dirt reliable.
