Fun fact: at the time the titanic set sail the flag only had 46 stars. And the flag on this model also features 46 stars. The fact that they payed that attention to detail makes me mad when they fuck up Star Wars stuff
@SupersuMC
@SupersuMC 2 жыл бұрын
What were the last 4 stars?
@PolybagPat
@PolybagPat 2 жыл бұрын
@@SupersuMC New Mexico and Arizona joined in January and February of 1912, a few months before the ship sank in April of the same year. The flag just hadn’t been updated yet to show 48 stars, as there is sometimes a design process to decide how to layout the additional stars, or even a delay in getting the updated flags out. But at the time of sinking there were 48 states. Lastly, Alaska joined in January of 1959, and Hawaii later the same year in August.

Well the flag is just printed, so it’s not hard to find a correct one. They fucked up a lot of actual details though. Where is collapsible C and D ??? Where is the supporting beam on the rear mast ? Completely wrong porthole counts in the bow Missing gangway door details, cause gangway D door totally did not play a factor in accelerating the sinking Collapsible A and B look very out of shape The list goes on with the amount of inaccuracy…

The flags aren't actually stickers, they are flexible plastic sheets. To put them on the set, there are small holes punched into the plastic sheets that can be slotted onto lego bar elements. The other pieces that appear to be stickers are printed.

If anyone is wondering why the peaces are all different colours like yellow and blue and just colours that don’t fit. It’s cause it’s cheaper to grab peaces from other sets that get masses produced more then a special set like this Titanic so anything that dose not need to be coloured the ships colours it’s more easy to throw in those different colour peaces then having to recolour every peace

I think the more important reason is that it's easier to find specific pieces if they're color coded. If *every* piece was white, black, or red, parts would be hard to find when all mixed together, which is especially a problem with a set that has over 9,000 pieces. But if you need one certain part for the construction, it's way easier to pick out all the blue ones and narrow it down. They're not visible when the set is fully assembled, so it doesn't matter. This is a technique that Lego has used for years.
