how much cost did you spent for overall work?
@indigenouslivestockFarming5 жыл бұрын
total cost of this dairy farm? like all construction, milking parlor, matchings etc.
@justycrusty6 жыл бұрын
Considering there's no money in milk production, you've certainly pushed the boat out👍👍
@samkom335 жыл бұрын
well. if you have say 100+ cows. 1 man would have to work 24/7 to milk them by hand. but with a good parlor with lots of milking maskines he can milk a ton of cows and still have time to eat-sleep and clean the parlor.. yes milk prices have dropd becouse there is more milk produced than what is needed... but if you are going to produce milk, its best to do it EFFECTIVE. saving labour costs

hi do you mind me asking what the material is you put on the wall down in the pit and parlour walls
@CawleyFarms7 жыл бұрын
Not at all, PVC sheeting. I am not sure where you are based but we had if from pureclad who installed it aswell, I think wynnstay sell it too. A mistake we did do tho was to render the pit, if you are going to use sheeting it is more economic and better to glue it directly to the concrete blocks.

So...5 years later, are you still happy you invested a million or more into this? Are you even still in biz? Just imagine, instead you could've invested in real estate, got a 6% yield and after 5 years a 50% return on capital. Why do you guys still do this milk commodity producer thing? It's totally nuts from an economic standpoint
